Over the weekend, I decided to take some time to discuss the revival of Hasbro Marvel Comic Packs coming up in 2016. But of course, those two-packs won’t be the only 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures coming our way this winter!
The successor to the Marvel Universe line rolls on next year, with six figures each in Marvel Infinite Series 2016 Wave 1 and Wave 2… and, oh yeah: Lockjaw is coming!

There’s been a definite lack of Marvel toy news over the last several days, which I imagine has something to do with this “Star Wars” thing that every toy company seems to be all excited about right now. And so, while there’s nothing new to talk about, per se, I think I will take this opportunity to go back and talk about something I skipped discussing in my San Diego Comic-Con 2015 coverage: the first twelve Marvel Infinite Series 2016 figures comprising Comic Packs Series 1 and Series 2… including Lady Thor and Falcon Captain America!

2015 has been an excellent “make-good” year for previously-canceled Hasbro Marvel action figures. In the 6″ Marvel Legends lineup, we’ve finally gotten the long-lost Iron Fist, Sentry, Blizzard, Tigershark, Bulldozer and more. And now we can add one more previously M.I.A. figure to that list: the Marvel Legends Rescue figure is finally coming out–as the 2016 Marvel Unlimited Plus exclusive figure!

Last time I reviewed a Marvel Legends Hulkbuster Series figure, I focused on a comics-based version of a character newly-introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But while the Vision is all shiny and new to the MCU this year, next year the MCU is gonna get a lot more… strange! The 2015 Marvel Legends Doctor Strange figure is now available for order online–but is he as worthy of your dollars as the excellent Vision figure was? Read on for my review…

Hasbro has been pretty stingy regarding specific release details for the upcoming 3.75″ Marvel Infinite Series waves this year, leading a lot of collectors to wonder if something is up with the line. But it appears that things are back on track following the summer deluge of Marvel Legends and Avengers: Age of Ultron series figures, as the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 figures are finally up for order! And not only are there six new figures up for order, but three of them are ones collectors have been waiting for literally for years: Northstar, Juggernaut Colossus and Emma Frost!

While Hasbro covered all their bases with the core movie Avengers by releasing a new movie-based Marvel Legends figure for each of the six main members of the Avengers, the new recruits (Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Vision) didn’t get the same treatment. Even so, the new comics-based Marvel Legends Vision figure is now available online and in some stores, and while he’s clearly not a replacement for a movie Vision, he’s a terrific figure nonetheless…

Now that the Avengers Marvel Legends Hulkbuster series is available online and slowly starting to hit retail stores, I figured it was about time that I sat down and started reviewing the figures that comprise the series.
And while this series features the Hulkbuster Iron Man Build-A-Figure which is the anticipated BAF in years, if you want to built it, you’ll have to buy another Iron Man to do so: Marvel Legends Marvel NOW Iron Man…

It had been quite a few years since Hasbro let fans have a direct say in a 6″ figure that gets produced in the Marvel Legends line, but last month, Hasbro broke their streak in grand fashion with a Marvel Legends Fan’s Choice Poll voting tournament which began at San Diego Comic-Con 2015! It was a real melee with fan-favorites like Cosmo, Lady Sif, The Hood and Quasar being eliminated early-on. But when the dust cleared after the finals, one figure reigned supreme and is now confirmed to be on the way: the first-ever Marvel Legends Angela figure!

Almost unquestionably the most talked-about series of 2015 Hasbro Marvel Legends figures has been frustratingly difficult to find at retail thus far. While some online retailers received limited stock of cases in early July, those waiting for individual figures have had a rough time.
But if you haven’t found these figures yet, you need hunt no longer–Amazon now has all of the shortpacked Marvel Legends Hulkbuster Series figures available for order with free shipping!

Remember last year, when the Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Legends Agent Venom figure was revealed at SDCC 2014, and then we had to wait what felt like eons for it to finally start arriving at retail stores…? Yeah–this isn’t gonna be like that. This year, Walgreens has their act together and is ready to strike while the iron is hot. After just debuting in the Hasbro showcase at SDCC 2015 one week ago, the exclusive Walgreens Ant-Man Marvel Legends figure has already begun hitting stores this week!

Hasbro doesn’t believe in playing all of their cards at once at the biggest convention of the year, and that’s why–even though they’ve already shown off an amazing all-new wave of Spider-Man Legends figures and their panel is less than 24 hours away–Hasbro debuted three more all-new Marvel Legends figures on Friday at San Diego Comic-Con 2015! And while the bad news is that we’re getting yet another Captain America figure, the good news is that we’re getting the first-ever Marvel Legends Mockingbird figure, as well as a totally different Taskmaster from what we’ve seen before!

Tragically, in this day and age of early internet leaks, it’s getting harder and harder for toy companies to ever truly surprise collectors with reveals that are totally unexpected. On San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Preview Night, Hasbro debuted the Marvel Legends Walgreens exclusives that everyone had known about for months. And on Thursday–the first full day of the convention–Hasbro next debuting products turn out to be another lineup that avid fans already knew to expect–but man, what a lineup! It’s 2015 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Wave 3–including Spider-Gwen, Jack O’ Lantern, Mobius and more!

Our new house is roasting at 90 degrees without functional cooling, we just got the internet up and running an hour ago, I don’t have a desk yet in the house so I’m working on the floor, and my mousepad is a piece of paper. But hey–it’s all good times, as San Diego Comic-Con 2015 has finally arrived! And while Hasbro won’t be showing off many previously unseen products until a few days into the con, we’ve already gotten two big (but expected) reveals: the Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Legends Yellow Daredevil and Eric O’ Grady Ant-Man figures have now been confirmed!

From Marvel Select to Marvel Legends to Marvel Minimates and Marvel Infinite Series, we’re getting mini figures of Ant-Man all over the place in celebration of the upcoming Ant-Man movie!
But maybe what you’ve been waiting for isn’t a little figure of Ant-Man… but a big one! And if so, Hasbro has just the low-priced action figure for you: the 12″ Marvel Titan Hero Ant-Man figure has now been released in stores!

From creating Ultron to smacking around his wife (The Wasp), there’s probably been more criticism aimed at poor ol’ Hank Pym over the years than any other member of the Avengers. But one of Hank Pym’s greatest failures came in recent years, when he allowed a bunch of the children he was responsible for at the Avengers Academy to be kidnapped and brutally murdered by Arcade (yes, Arcade). It’s unlikely that many Avengers Academy characters will ever see the light of day in plastic form, but now we can all commemorate this glorious era in Hank Pym’s life with the Marvel Legends Giant-Man figure available as part of the Ant-Man Legends Series!
