I’m still well behind in my 2018 Marvel Legends reviews, so I’m going to diverge from my usual format and knock out two figure reviews for the price of one today! While the Spider-Man Marvel Legends Lizard Series has been out in stores (allegedly) for a couple months now, it’s been exceedingly hard to find in a lot of areas. If you haven’t obtained the Marvel Legends Lasher and Prowler Figures yet, are they worth the hunt? Here’s my review…

Believe it or not, despite the fact that Bandai Tamashii has released well over a dozen S.H. Figuarts Iron Man figures, they’ve never released the iconic Mark 7 armor from the first Avengers movie—at least, not until now! The SH Figuarts Iron Man Mark VII figure with Hall of Armor diorama is now up for order in the United States! And Bandai also has another beloved variant costume coming our way in a bit more wacky fashion—Black Ninja Spider-Man is on the way!

While MAFEX Gwenpool was definitely a fun and unique choice to lead off the line, she’s not exactly the kind of character that’s going to lure in tens of thousands of collectors. No, that distinction goes to the second release in the series: the MAFEX Spider-Man Comic Version figure is now up for order!

And now, you can lock in your own: the Hot Toys Iron Spider sixth scale figure is now up for order! Is this long-awaited Movie Masterpiece Series all fans have been hoping for? Let’s take a look…
Continue Reading →It was a quiet Easter weekend (and I don’t do April Fool’s Day ever—sorry to anyone disappointed), so today let’s get back into the groove and take a look back at some Marvel Legends revealed at New York Toy Fair 2018 that I’ve mainly talked about on social media to-date. The Spider-Man Marvel Legends SP//dr Series is an interesting set where the main lineup is composed of all headliners (including Doc Ock and Cloak & Dagger!)—and one Build-A-Figure many folks have never heard of…

And now, Miles is finally hitting the collectibles big-time with his first high-end quarter-scale statue: the Sideshow EXCLUSIVE Premium Format Miles Morales Statue is now up for order!

And so, I don’t think anyone will be gobsmacked to hear that my anticipation for her first 6″ figure wasn’t quite off-the-charts. But to my utter astonishment, it turns out that not only do I not hate this Marvel Legends Gwenpool figure–I really kind of love it. The Spider-Man Legends Gwenpool Lizard Series figure is available online now for MSRP–and even if you’re just buying it for the Lizard BAF tail, you may be surprised how much you like it too…
Continue Reading →Dipping back into my bag of hi-res photos that I took at New York Toy Fair 2018 last month, today I’m taking a look at the first-ever Hasbro Marvel Legends Venom series of 6” figures! While Hasbro didn’t show the entire series at Toy Fair, they did unveil three new figures to complement the previously-revealed Venom and Carnage: Spider-Ham, Scream and a Poison! And hey—what’s this about a Monster Venom Build-A-Figure…?
Continue Reading →I was a young teenager when the Maximum Carnage crossover came out in the early 90s–which means I thought it was pretty much the coolest thing in the world. Whether or not it would stand up as a literary masterpiece today (and I have a suspicion it might not), I loved it back then, and had the video game, Toybiz figures… the works. And so, Diamond Select Toys hit all the right nostalgic notes with me at New York Toy Fair 2018 last month, where they revealed a whole Marvel Minimates Maximum Carnage Series…

The breakout star of the movie, Yondu (AKA… Mary Poppins). Well, it’s taken close to a year since the announcement of the GOTG Vol. 2 POPs, but POP Yondu with Mohawk is finally on the way… as a convention exclusive! And Yondu’s not the only Marvel exclusive the King of Exclusives has coming our way…
Continue Reading →While there’s absolutely going to be no shortage of Marvel movies coming out in 2018, one film that’s still just a wee bit too far off for fans to be really hyped about right now is the Venom movie. But if there’s one thing that can get collectors pumped about a movie that’s 8 months away, it’s toys! And Hasbro announced an unexpected series of Venom Marvel Legends 6” Figures today that ought to do the trick…
Continue Reading →Last week, Mezco Toyz showed off a teaser of some of their New York Toy Fair 2018 ONE:12 Collective figure reveals. Of the darkened silhouettes on that teaser, there was one Marvel figure so obvious that it didn’t take a Spider-Sense to pick him out, and today it’s official: the Mezco ONE:12 Collective Homemade Suit Spider-Man figure has now been revealed!
Continue Reading →I felt pretty bad kicking off the week by having to strike down the Marvel Select Drax movie figure (which I genuinely did want to love), so I thought today I’d move another DST figure to the top of the review queue—this time, one I had a much better feeling about! We’ve gotten plenty of Spider-Man Homecoming Tech Suit Spidey figures from various companies—but are any as good as the under $25 Marvel Select Homecoming Spider-Man figure?
Continue Reading →While it seemed like it might be a bit of a risk when the line first launched, the Skottie Young Marvel Babies-inspired Gentle Giant Marvel Animated statues line has really blossomed into a fan favorite series that has gotten much deeper than most collectors expected. And now that the line has proven itself, Gentle Giant Ltd. must feel confident enough to try something a bit different: a two-in-one statue! It’s the most expensive entry in the series to date: the Marvel Animated Spider-Man & Mary Jane statue is now up for order!

But regardless of which side you’re on, Sideshow Collectibles is rolling along with their 12 Days of Sideshow series of product reveals for 2018! And for the 7th Day of Sideshow, a new Premium Format Figure joins the previously announced Captain America and Black Widow: the Sideshow Miles Morales Spider-Man Statue!
