Usually I can fit the entire name of a product into the allowed number of characters for an article title, but such is not the case with this year’s single biggest LEGO Marvel Summer 2016 set: the LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle 76057 (try saying that three times fast). I gained a new appreciation for the LEGO Doc Ock’s Tentacle Trap set at New York Toy Fair 2016, but even so, that set can’t even approach the sheer coolness of what is almost certainly my favorite LEGO Marvel set yet…

Just when I thought that I had covered all of the 6″ and larger Marvel Legends action figures that Hasbro had on display at New York Toy Fair 2016, I remembered that I hadn’t given my impressions of the new 12″ Marvel Legends on display at the event.

Toy Fair 2016: Marvel Legends 2016 Spider-Man Wave 2!

While Hasbro was only able to show off half of the Marvel Legends Doctor Strange series of figures (due to the movie characters making up part of the assortment), they made up for it in a big way by sharing half of the Marvel Legends 2016 Spider-Man Wave 2 figures as well! The big star of the show here is the new 6″ Marvel Legends Miles Morales Spider-Man figure, but he’s joined by a number of heavy-hitters, including Ultimate Spider-Man Peter Parker, a new Hobgoblin, Silk and more!

While the 2016 Toy Fair International won’t officially begin until this Saturday (2/13/2016), many companies are taking the opportunity this week to preview newly revealed toys in advance of the show.

Diamond Select Toys is one such company, and they’re countering the Bishoujo Spider-Gwen statue that went up earlier this week with a Gwen Stacy of their own: the Marvel Gallery Spider-Gwen figure debuts at New York Toy Fair 2016!

Kotobukiya Spider-Gwen Statue Up for Order

When Kotobukiya had official photos to show over the weekend alongside the first public look at the painted prototype of their Bishoujo Spider-Gwen statue at Japan’s Winter Wonder Festival 2016, the writing was on the wall that the immensely-anticipated Gwen Stacy staue pre-order was imminent.

And as it turns out, we didn’t have long to wait for her: the Kotobukiya Spider-Gwen Bishoujo statue is now up for order!

Traditionally, LEGO doesn’t allow photography of its licensed summer sets until the New York Toy Fair that takes place in February. But some traditions are made to be broken, and at the Nuremberg Toy Fair 2016, TLG is allowing photography of three out of the four summer 2016 LEGO Marvel sets for the very first time! It looks like it’ll be at least a few weeks before we see the Doctor Strange set, but the Spider-Man sets (including Scorpion, Spider-Woman, Kraven, Vulture, Scarlet Spider and more!) are looking mighty fine…

Marvel Legends collectors were thrown a huge curve-ball yesterday, when the entire Red Onslaught Build-A-Figure wave (which, by the way, is called the “Red Skull” wave on the packaging) popped up for order on Amazon–despite the fact that they hadn’t even listed the Spider-Man Legends Absorbing Man wave yet that started hitting stores weeks ago! I wasn’t in the market for yet another vinyl figure line to collect (seeing as I have a major weakness for them), but I fell in love at first sight with the Funko Marvel Dorbz figures when I first saw them at Toy Fair 2015. Even so, the line got off to a rocky start at retail. However, interest seems to have picked up, as the recently-released Marvel Dorbz Chase figures of Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales and Red Hulk are selling for $50+ each online!

2016 Marvel Legends Black Panther… and 4″ Price Increase?

A couple of unannounced Marvel Legends 2016 4″ figures turned up on eBay last week, leaving fans wondering whether the figures were legit. Well, we Marvel Universe-scale collectors didn’t have too long to wait to find out: Hasbro has officially confirmed two upcoming new Marvel Legends 3.75″ figures–Black Panther and House of M Spider-Man! But there’s one other bit of news: a troubling potential price increase to $19.99 per figure…

UPDATE: And rejoice–Hasbro has confirmed that the price increase on their site was an error: 4″ figures will remain $12.99 in 2016.
