X-Men Marvel Legends 2022 has been a little bit of a disappointment to me so far, as I felt like Siryn, Darwin and Sabretooth all missed the mark and earned average or below review scores. Hopefully today’s review subject will break that trend, though, as it’s another first-time-ever release. He’s the sometimes-Emperor of the Shi’ar and the third (or maybe fourth now) summers Brother: Marvel Legends Vulcan is now available! Is this Hasbro 6” figure as much of a powerhouse as the Omega-level mutant it represents?

We can expect Hasbro to unleash a multitude of new Marvel Legends announcements and reveals next week at SDCC 2022, but while we wait for even newer action figures to be unveiled in San Diego, I’ll continue with my reviews of what’s already been released this year. And today I’ll move on to the third figure in the X-Men Bonebreaker series that’s surprisingly underwhelmed me thus far: Marvel Legends Darwin! Is this adaptable mutant the fittest figure in this wave thus far?

Deadpool was actually the very first character I ever bought a full-body resin statue for, way back in 2005 (from Bowen Designs). So you could say I was a Deadpool-collecting fanboy before Deadpool was cool—or at least since before he was gratuitously merchandised. As such, I was primed and ready to buy whatever Deadpool Iron Studios put out as soon as they announced it was on the way. Deadpool turns out to be one of the most expensive entries in the whole X-Men BDS statues lineup… but that doesn’t mean he’s necessarily one of the best…

general consensus I’m hearing about the new Marvel Legends Sabretooth figure that went up for pre-order this week is that fans think the first appearance look is novel… but what they really want is a buff 90s styled Sabretooth. While it may be another year (or more until Hasbro gets to that iteration, fans wanting a killer representation of Creed in this approximate scale sooner aren’t entirely out of luck. cancellation of New York Toy Fair 2021 took the whole collecting world by surprise, and is the likely cause of the recent dearth of new Marvel toy news and announcements. But Hasbro is coming to the rescue today with a bevy of new X-Men Legends figures going up for order that we’ve been waiting for the chance to buy since late last year: the 2022 Marvel Legends X-Men Bonebreaker Series is finally up for order!
