We’re only one week removed from New York Comic Con 2019, but Hasbro is already back at it again with another Marvel Legends 2020 figure reveal! Given the popularity of the PS4 Spider-Man Gamerverse figure from last year, this shouldn’t have caught me off-guard—but it did! 2020 Marvel Legends Avengers Square Enix video game figures are on the way—starting with GamerVerse Iron Man!

New York Comic Con 2019 has come and gone, and while the number of Hasbro Marvel Legends 2020 figures revealed was probably a bit less than what some fans hoped for, Hasbro still showed off some good stuff—especially keeping in … Continue Reading →
Back at San Diego Comic Con 2019, Hasbro unveiled new Marvel Legends Doctor Doom and a modern She-Hulk figures that weren’t obviously associated with any upcoming series of figures. But today at New York Comic Con 2019, the other shoe officially dropped—a full-on Marvel Legends Fantastic Four Series is coming to mass retail to kick off 2019–and it will include new versions of all four members of the Fantastic 4 team themselves!

Hasbro has been on an unprecedented run with their Marvel Legends line lately, giving collectors many upgraded figures they’ve been waiting 5, 10, or even 15+ years for. But this year’s true main event for many X-Men fans is a figure that’s been hotly demanded for TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS. I had legit half given-up on ever completing the Animated/Jim Lee roster in 6” form, but a 90s X-Men Marvel Legends Jubilee figure finally went up for sale this year! After over two and a half decades of waiting, is this the definitive Jubilee action figure?

As a mega-fan of 1990s Marvel Comics, I’ve been wanting a super-articulated action figure of Maximum Carnage fan-favorite Dopperlganger Spider ever since I was a pre-teen. While I was hyped when word leaked out he was in the works, I was mortified when I realized what his body mold choice was going to be. Now that the Marvel Legends Doppelganger Spider-Man is readily available online, I finally got up the courage to spend some time with him and render judgment in my review…

It’s hard to believe it’s only been a few years since the return of X-Men Legends, but already we’ve seen a vast spectrum of Wolverine variants released including First Appearance, Brown Costume, Jim Lee, Weapon X, Old Man Logan, Days of Future Past, Cowboy and more! Luckily, Wolverine has made thousands of comic book appearances for Hasbro to draw on for inspiration, and they’ve come up with a crazy iteration for their newest figure: Marvel Legends Vintage X-Men Wolverine is one of the more obscure versions ever put up for sale–but to my great surprise, I might be in love with this variant I never asked for…

The consequence of getting an explosive number of Marvel Legends reveals at the major conventions each year is that we tend to fall into news droughts between shows. And so, with a month to go until NYCC 2019, there’s not much fresh news to talk about—but there’s still plenty of new figures to review! Marvel Legends Silver Samurai from the X-Men Vintage Series is readily available online despite being a top request of collectors for years—but is any part of that the figure’s fault…?

Even though Hasbro has released quite a few super-articulated figures of Cyclops over the past few years (with costumes spanning the Silver Age to Jim Lee to Marvel NOW), there’s always a big demand for versions of the most iconic leader of the X-Men. So I was rather surprised today to see that the Vintage X-Men Legends Cyclops figure is both readily available and discounted to 15 bucks shipped online. Deciding this warranted investigation, I chose this Marvel Legends Cyclops as the subject of today’s review…

As unlikely as it may be, the final member of the Jim Lee X-Men Marvel Legends figures lineup that Hasbro needed to create wasn’t one of the more obscure characters like Jubilee or Bishop—it was actually among the most popular and iconic: Storm! But at long last, the Vintage X-Men Marvel Legends Storm figure is shipping out from online retailers and quickly selling out on store shelves—but is this the definitive Ororo Monroe for the ages we’ve all been waiting for?
