As soon as I saw the Diamond Select Toys Marvel Gallery statues line debut at New York Toy Fair 2016, I knew DST had a future hit on their hands. 9″ Marvel PVC statues with excellent paint applications and sculpting detail at a $45 MSRP seemed like a can’t-lose investment–and thus far, the line does look to be really taking off. Earlier this month we got our first gander at the first wave of 2017 Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy 6″ figures (including the Angela figure two years in the making!). Let’s face facts: we are going to be absolutely buried in Baby Groot merchandise in just a few months. When all is said and done, we’re probably going to see more items featuring that little sapling than every other piece of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 character put together.
