A lot of Marvel Legends collectors’ hearts dropped yesterday when the Hasbro Marvel team confirmed there would be a singular Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure series for 2026, but Hasbro followed up by announcing it was a diverse universe-building wave with something for almost everyone! Featuring the long-lost Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider, a cancelled Toybiz figure fans waited 30 years for and key members of the X-Men, Dark Avengers and Alpha Flight, the Marvel Legends Box Build-A-Figure series are now up for order!

While they’re almost certainly the characters from this wave that will leave more collectors scratching their heads than any others, I feel like I’m forced to lead with the Alpha Flight entries in the set: Marinna and the Box Build-A-Figure.
Hasbro released a whole Alpha Flight box set as an Amazon exclusive that I reviewed way back in 2019, and I genuinely never thought we’d see Marinna -or- Box added to the team. I found that Alpha Flight set rather average at the time, but 6 figures for $110 seems like an insanely good value by today’s standards!
I’d actually like to see updates to all the characters from that box set at this point, but I certainly won’t turn my nose up at these new recruits. Marinna looks terrific, and her yellow-green palette will really pop on a shelf of black, white and red Alpha Flight figures.
The alien bride of Namor has just some fists as personal extras, which I think is fine in her case—I can’t think of much more I’d want to accessorize her. She also includes the body of the BAF, the biggest part of Box.
I think Outback Colossus would have worked exponentially better as a “carrot” to generate sales for this wave, but it’s impossible to scold Hasbro for giving us a team-completing oversized character the only way that they really could. Anyone invested in building the Alpha Flight roster will be pumped to get an original Box.
And speaking of completing teams: the core Dark Avengers are complete with Dark Hawkeye (Bullseye in disguise)! While I’m not sure we have a proper Dark Venom, it’s terrific to see Dark Reign Hawkeye at last, as Hasbro has slowly built the team over the past several years.
Bullseye has an insane grin on his face that really differentiates this from your typical Clint Barton Hawkeye figure, and the costume also features darker and more moody colors than usual. The bow this figure comes with sucks, but I think the Hawkeye itself is really great.
I think the true highlight of this wave for many fans is going to be the new “Outback X-Men” Psylocke figure. Hasbro has been treating Psylocke fans well over the years, and this classic Betsy Braddock is arguably the last really significant look for the character that they hadn’t covered before.
While Outback Psylocke isn’t quite as dramatic as the Mandarin’s Ninja Psylocke we got back in 2024, I like the pure Betsy Braddock goodness we’re getting here. She comes with a couple extra hands and the essential psychic butterfly energy effect.
The figure from this wave with easily the coolest trivia behind it is the ForceWorks US Agent Legends figure. Archaic relics like me who have been collecting way too long will remember this version of US Agent as a figure promoted for the 90s Toybiz Iron Man animated series 3 line of figures (shown below).
Toybiz cut the wave from 7 figures down to 6, and this iteration of U.S. Agent (who, by the way, was never in that Iron Man cartoon anyway) got scrapped. A few thousand unsanctioned figures were released by a company called Elegant Way anyway, but there has never been an official US Agent ForceWorks action figure actually available—until now!
With US Agent’s trademark aggro expression on his face, swap-out fists for a-punching and a very cool photonic energy shield, this is basically all I ever wanted in a Force Works US Agent action figure. I’m pretty tickled with this one.
I think Force Works was a very cool Avengers book in the 90s that was under appreciated, so I’m glad to seeing it get some flowers with this release. Bring on Century and 90s Scarlet Witch, Hasbro!
Following the retail releases of Mephisto, Daimon Hellstrom and a Madelyne Pryor Goblin Queen, it was only a matter of time until we finally got a Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider figure (that seemed impossible after his failed Engine of Vengeance HasLab project in 2022).
The flaming hair and bendable chain are super cool; I’m really delighted to finally get this rad design in toy form. The Hasbro team said they could possibly look at some sort of future release for the Hell Charger as well, which I’m sure “Ghost Driver” would really appreciate!
An updated Lady Deadpool was not on my Bingo card for 2026, although I should have anticipated her after last year’s smash hit Deadpool & Wolverine movie.
We previously got a 6” Lady Deadpool in the 2018 Sauron BAF Series, but this one has been brought up to modern standards. I need the Box Build-A-Figure head to complete Box (obviously), so I guess I’m buying her.
Marvel Legends Ultimate Wolverine from the modern (2003) Jonathan Hickman Ultimate universe rounds out this set. This Winter Soldier-y iteration of Logan was a mega hit when he debuted last year, so it’s not a big shocker to see him represented here in plastic form.
Since this design is only a year old, I’m not surprised to see Hasbro capturing the OG look with face mask from Ultimate Wolverine’s first issues. I doubt they had the time or reference material to make heads from later issues in the run. This is the “iconic” look for this new character, and I think modern comic fans will love him as he is. He’s the token figure without a Box BAF part, for those who want to pass on this berserker.
The 2026 Marvel Legends Box Build-A-Figure Series went up for pre-order this afternoon and is shipping out this summer. It’s a Fan Channel and Amazon exclusive, so be sure to reserve any characters you want online—these won’t be making the trek to Target and Walmart and such.
Are you bummed that we’re officially only getting one new Build-A-Figure this year, Marvel collectors? What figures from this eclectic assortment (if any) strike your fancy, and what will you be passing up?

I was a HUGE fan of John Byrne’s original Alpha Flight run and really want that absolute comic-accurate Box figure. Aside from Marinna, which would help round out the team collection, I have no interest in the rest of this wave though. Too bad. Hopefully they follow the trend and release Box as a single large figure sooner than later.
Don’t hold your breath, they never released Sasquatch again.
This baf thing really does work to make people spend more money. Not everyone, but I totally would have just gotten Marrina and that’s it. Instead, I’m buying the entire wave, so I can have Box. It’s been a while since they have had a baf wave that spoke to me enough to do that, but a few years ago, they were on a roll. Got way more money from me than I wanted to spend, and I have far too many figures in my collection that I never wanted.
