Kotobukiya has a real treat lined up to close out the 2013 lineup of Marvel Bishoujo statues: an all-new X-Force Psylocke Bishoujo statue! While Kotobukiya has released Psylocke before, the original Psylocke statue is 1:8 scale and out of scale with the current Bishoujo figures being released (not to mention mega-expensive). Though he’s had a very limited presence in recent years in the Marvel comics (and even less prominence in merchandise), the legendary herald of Galactus–the Silver Surfer–remains one of the more iconic and recognizable characters in Marvel history.

If there’s one Marvel character (not named Iron Man) that’s getting plenty of merchandising love in 2013, it’s Deadpool. Funko has been particularly infatuated with Deadpool this year, as so far they have released seven variants of the Funko Deadpool POP! Vinyl figure already. Another day, another San Diego Comic-Con 2013 exclusive announced! Marvel Funko POP! Vinyl collectors have really dodged a bullet this time, as it briefly appeared that one of the most wanted Marvel Movie POP! Vinyl figures ever was going to be an overseas exclusive not available in America at all.

Marvel Hot Toys figure news has slowed down to a trickle as we wait with bated breath and anticipation for next month’s San Diego Comic-Con 2013! Hasbro might have thought they were fooling someone by releasing information on all of the Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con exclusives yesterday except one, but their attempted surprise was more than a little spoiled by the fact that we had already seen and reported on the Marvel Universe Lady Deadpool, Kidpool, Dogpool, and Championpool figures last week.

Supposedly “it’s better late than never”, but I feel like that expression is getting stretched just a little bit by the new Marvel figures just released by Bandai. While the rest of the toy companies of the world have rushed to flood the market with figures and products from the 2013 summer blockbuster “Iron Man 3” movie, Bandai is countering with two all-new figures based on “Iron Man 2”! Yeah, as in, “The Iron Man movie from 2010”. But hey, even if the figures are a little late, at least Bandai is bringing something rockin’ to the table–the S.H. Figuarts Iron Man Mark VI and War Machine figures!
