Though much of the focus on Kotobukiya at San Diego Comic Con 2013 was focused on their upcoming Avengers Marvel NOW ARTFX+ statues, the Kotobukiya Fine Arts statues line made itself known with two brand new 1/6 scale statues.
From the X-Men side of the Marvel Universe, the 2014 Kotobukiya Juggernaut and X-Force Psylocke statues have now made their public debuts at SDCC 2013!

San Diego Comic Con 2013 has come and gone now, and while I’m extremely pleased with most of what was shown for Marvel figures (for the most part), one line that I felt a little let down by was the usually awesome Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select display. That’s not to say the 2013 SDCC Marvel Select display was a total loss. Though DST didn’t show anything previously unannounced at SDCC 2013, they did debut the movie Thor 2 Marvel Select figures of Thor and Jane Foster from “Thor: The Dark World”!

Though the “Iron Man 3” movie wasn’t quite the most well-loved Marvel Studios movie to date (except to me–I loved it more than any other Marvel movie, bar “Avengers), Hasbro is moving forward with a third series of Iron Man Marvel Legends in Fall 2013 regardless. This is going to be a rather controversial wave, however, as it contains an armor not seen in “Iron Man 3”, a villain (of a sort) who’s the subject of more hatred toward Marvel Studios than any other character ever from the movies, and a character who’s not (exactly) in the movies at all…
UPDATE: Hasbro has confirmed via photos that the Pepper Potts Rescue figure can wear her helmet. Photo added to the article–she looks great!

While all of the most prominent companies that make Marvel figures, statues and toys made their presence known at this week’s San Diego Comic Con 2013, some of the smaller manufacturers–including Diamond Select Toys–brought their A-Game to the show as well! Art Asylum had been holding out on us for a while so that they’d have lots of new figures to debut at SDCC 2013, including the just-revealed and very awesome Marvel Minimates Wave 54 and Toys R Us Marvel Minimates Wave 18!

Kotobukiya made Marvel fans salivate at the start of this week when they revealed the Adi Granov full-color concept art posted for the Kotobukiya ARTFX+ Marvel NOW! Avengers statues lineup.
That tease has now paid off in dividends, as Kotobukiya has shown off half of the lineup for their comic-based Marvel NOW! Avengers ArtFX+ line at SDCC 2013: Captain America, Black Widow and the Hulk statues!

Remember last week, when we saw that very early prototype teaser image of a new comic book style Sideshow Red Skull Premium Format Figure? Yeah? Well… it turns out it wasn’t quite as early in the developmental cycle as we may have thought. Just how far along is the new Premium Format Red Skull statue?
Well–as it turns out, the all-new 2014 Red Skull Premium Format Figure is completely finished and on display right now at the Sideshow Collectibles booth at San Diego Comic-Con 2013!

Even if you were daring enough to brave the treacherous, hours-long line to get up to the Funko booth at San Diego Comic Con 2013 today, there was a little extra treat there that most visitors missed: an all-new Funko book that debuted a lot of previously unannounced upcoming Funko POP! Vinyls.
Two of these newly-revealed figures will be of special interest to Marvel fans–it’s the Funko Marvel POP! Vinyls Peter Parker and Compound Hulk!

Someday I will write a long-winded post in which I discuss, in detail, why I believe the usage of the “Mandarin” character in this summer’s Iron Man 3 movie to be the stuff of purest genius. But that is not this day! No, this day is another day of import, for the Mandarin and Iron Man both!
For this day is San Diego Comic Con 2013 Preview Night, and it is also the evening that the Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Mandarin and Silver Centurion Iron Man figures made their long-awaited debuts!

Man, we haven’t even made it to the first official full day of the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con yet, and already companies are being absolutely relentless in their efforts to secure our future dollars! (And I love it!).
Next up at bat is Sideshow Collectibles, which has somehow done the impossible by debuting a statue at SDCC 2013 that’s even bigger than their Gladiator Hulk Premium Format–it’s the Sideshow Apocalypse Premium Format Figure Statue!

Hot Toys clearly knows what fans are anxious to see at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con 2013 convention this week, and they’re not the least bit shy about exposing tantalizing teaser photo after teaser photo! Although San Diego Comic Con 2013 Preview Night won’t begin for a few hours yet, news is already starting to emerge from the convention halls! If you’re like me, you were probably expecting that Hasbro would hang onto the secret of their next series of Marvel Legends until their panel later in the show, but nope! Front and center, on display behind glass for Preview Night of SDCC 2013, it’s this fall’s upcoming 2013 Marvel Legends Series 3 (Wave 6) series, featuring Agent Venom, Jubilee and more!
UPDATE: Jubilee has now been confirmed as the Build-A-Figure of Marvel Legends Wave 6!

Considering that Hot Toys had held out this long, you would think–you would just think–that they would want to wait just a few more hours to do a grandiose reveal of their upcoming Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Heartbreaker Iron Man Diecast Movie Masterpiece Series figure at San Diego Comic Con 2013 Preview Night. But if you thought that (like me), you thought wrong! Overnight Hot Toys posted the glamor shots of their diecast Iron Man Heartbreaker Mark 37 armor MMS, and the beauty is now up for order on Sideshow Collectibles for just $250!

Hot Toys is preparing to lay siege to collectors’ future dollars when they unveil a multitude of new Movie Masterpiece Series sixth scale figures this week at San Diego Comic Con 2013 including Heartbreaker Iron Man, Gemini Iron Man, The Lone Ranger, Tonto and more. But that’s not all–they’ll also be showing off a now fully-painted final prototype figure to add to one of the most successful Hot Toys lines ever–it’s the long-awaited Avengers Hot Toys Chitauri Footsoldier figure! And could the Chitauri be joined by a Hot Toys gamma-powered alter-ego figure as well this week…?
