Sideshow DST Wolverine Busts

As prices continue to rise on large resin statues, we’re seeing a mini-resurgence of Marvel mini-busts this year with new offerings coming from Sideshow, DST and Gentle Giant. Sideshow kicked off their new line of smaller busts earlier this year with a cool Thanos, but now they’ve upped the ante with a cheaper—and more impressive—second piece: the Sideshow Wolverine Bust is now available for order! This might be the best half of a Wolverine statue I’ve ever seen…! But they’re not the only ones launching a Logan bust today…

Close-Up of X-Men Marvel Legends Mister Sinister Figure

It’s been a relatively uneventful week thus far for Marvel toy news, but that’s well and good with me since I’ve got a mighty stack of new Marvel Legends figure reviews to catch up on! And after looking at the headliner of the X-Force series (Nightcrawler) last time, it’s time to turn attention to the other most-hyped figure in the Wendigo Series! We last saw him in the Toybiz Sentinel series 14 years ago—has Hasbro’s recently-released Marvel Legends Mr. Sinister figure managed to improve upon Toybiz’s original version…?

X-Force Legends Nightcrawler 6" Figure Review

Although he’s universally-loved and in the upper-echelon X-Men popularity with fans, we haven’t gotten an official Marvel Legends Nightcrawler figure since the Toybiz Galactus wave in 2005. Wild! That was a terrific figure that stands the test of time, but Hasbro was finally ready to release their own Kurt Wagner this year! Despite being two per case, this Nightcrawler figure is selling out rapidly in stores and online! Is X-Force Marvel Legends Nightcrawler as good as the hype would have you believe?

Iron Studios Avengers Endgame I Am Iron Man BDS Statue

“I am… Iron Man. *SNAP*” is likely to go down as one of the most legendary climactic moments in not just superhero movie history, but in cinematic history as a whole. And a moment like that… deserves to be captured in high-end collectible form! Hot Toys solicited their final battle Iron Man such scale figure last month, but for those who don’t have $450+ to blow on a 12” figure, now there’s an alternative: the resin Iron Studios Endgame “I Am Iron Man” Statue is now up for order!

Sideshow Psylocke Premium Format Statue Review

Life as a collector is full of little disappointments—but sometimes also big disappointments. After having the portrait changed from the original one show prior to SDCC 2018, fans cried foul when the final production head on the new Sideshow Psylocke Premium Format Figure statue turned out looking a lot… different… than anyone was expecting! I needed a 1/4 Psylocke in my life, so I went ahead and bought the Premium Format Psylocke Statue before it went to Wait List despite having some trepidations about the head. Did I make a $600 mistake? Here’s my review…

Review Marvel Legends Cannonball Figure X-Force

While the inaugural Marvel Legends X-Force series has several heavy-hitters like Mr. Sinister and Nightcrawler that I’ll be reviewing soon enough, today I want to focus on what’s almost certainly the most controversial ML figure this year. “Controversial” might sound a little dramatic for a toy, but there has been a lot of discussion of this action figure. You can get the new X-Force Marvel Legends Cannonball figure for about 20 bucks shipped right now—but should you?

Marvel Legends Wendigo Review Hasbro 2019

From the moment that Hasbro placed the Marvel Legends Sasquatch Build-A-Figure on display in Canada close to two years ago, it was a foregone conclusion that we’d eventually see that mold reused in white for a Wendigo. And to the surprise of no one, that day has arrived and the not-so-mythical monster can now be assembled! You can build your own Marvel Legends Wendigo by buying all the figures in the X-Force Legends Series—but should you?

Another week, another company getting in on some of that sweet, sweet Miles Morales merch money! The DX version comes with loads of accessories including a whole second body—but is this 4” figure worthy of his $80+ MSRP?

Black Widow Running from Red Skull Iron Studios BDS Statues

Avengers Endgame is now the top-grossing movie of all-time, which means that virtually no scene from that movie is likely to be safe from being merchandised in one form or another (and most already have). But Iron Studios has gone to the well now for the first time to capture a moment with their BDS (Battle Diorama Series) I’m not sure any other company is going to tackle—Iron Studios Red Skull & Black Widow statues representing Black Widow running to her death are now available! Yowza!
