Hot Toys fulfilled the expectations of most collectors at SDCC 2019 last week by premiering more figures from Avengers Infinity War and Endgame, filling a few gaps in the Guardians of the Galaxy lineup and even giving us a few new Spider-Man PS4 costumes. But they also debuted something off-the-walls crazy at the show no one saw coming: the Hot Toys VENOMPOOL figure is now up for pre-order! (And yes, this is a Venom/Deadpool mash-up. Seriously!)

When we made it all the way to the week of SDCC 2019 with every single Marvel Legends figure shown at Toy Fair up for PO except for the non-Fan Channel 80th Anniversary Series, it didn’t take a psychic to prophesy that they were being held onto for a grand Comic Con launch. And so it has come to pass: the Marvel Legends 80 Years series is now up for order online—including the Colossus vs. Juggeraut pack, the Amazon Exclusive Peggy Carter and Captain America set, and more!

Kotobukiya surprised the collecting sphere at New York Toy Fair 2019 in February when they launched their new line of high-quality, high-priced Marvel ARTFX+ Premier statues with four characters right out of the gate. They’ve been going strong with the line since, with no signs of slowing down. And at SDCC 2019, they debuted their next four entries: ARTFX Premier Loki, Black Panther, Black Widow and… Cosmic Ghost Rider!?

It’s the night before San Diego Comic Con 2019 Preview Night, but Sideshow Collectibles isn’t waiting until SDCC officially begins to unleash their big guns! Following in the footsteps of the hot-selling Iron Man Mark III Statue from 2017, their next movie armor is (literally) flying onto the scene: the 21″ Sideshow Iron Man Mark VII Maquette is now up for order! Batted down the hatches, because San Diego Comic Con 2019–and the onslaught of new Marvel toys revealed there each year—are now just days away! But aside from a plethora of new action figures being announced, Hasbro also has three exclusive Marvel figures for the show. The SDCC 2019 Exclusive Marvel Legends Vintage Hulk figure is already pre-selling for $70-$80 on the aftermarket, but is he worth that inflation? Well, Hasbro sent over an early sample for me to review, so let’s bust this monster open and find out…

UPDATE 7/14/2019: …And gone! Randomly in the middle of Sunday afternoon seemed like a bizarre time for it to happen, but the SDCC Exclusive Funko POP Man-Thing figure was briefly up for order online! It’s been pulled now until noon EST on July 19th, so be sure to set your alarms if you missed him and fear the Man-Thing’s touch being absent from your collection!

Hasbro has been blindsiding Marvel Legends collectors with surprises all summer long, and that continues this week with one of a different sort! The movie-inspired Captain America shield role-play prop replicas have been hot sellers for years now, and now Hasbro is ready to give us a Cap shield of a (slightly) different color: the Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Captain America Life-Size Shield Comic-based variant is now up for order! But… what’s the difference? Let’s take a look…

We’re under a week out from San Diego Comic Con 2019, so I would ordinarily hesitate to proclaim anything as the weirdest Marvel collectible that Sideshow Collectibles has revealed this year just yet. But, well… I have a hunch nothing is going to top this on the bizarro-meter! Following in the footsteps of the Premium Format Deadpool and Lady Deadpool figures, the Sideshow Kidpool Premium Format Figure is now up for order! And, uh, yes… Kidpool is in fact in a kiddie pool…

Hasbro brought the goods at New York Toy Fair 2019 in February, where they debuted dozens of new Marvel Legends figures. But believe it or not, in just the last under five months since then, almost every single one of those toys has gone up for order except the 80th Anniversary Series and a lone Riders set. But we can now cross the latter off the list—the Marvel Legends Ultimate Captain America & WWII Motorcycle set is now up for order!

Sideshow Collectibles has spent the majority of the past year expanding their X-Men Premium Format Figure series primarily with female members of the roster, but it looks like they’re finally ready to start delving into the core male X-Men as well! We’ve all got hopes and dreams of seeing characters like Gambit, Cyclops and Archangel debut at SDCC 2019 next week, but the first new Comic-Con addition to the roster has already been revealed: the Sideshow Exclusive Colossus Premium Format Figure is now up for order–and he comes packing Lockheed!

Hasbro has been on a roll this year revisiting fan-favorite characters that haven’t been done since the Toybiz days, and that trend continues with today’s review. Marvel Legends Hydro-Man seemed like a shoe-in to be a quick sellout online with his unique design and appearance in Spider-Man Far From Home, but he’s stuck around longer at MSRP longer than I would have predicted. Are people overlooking a hidden gem with this Hydro-Man Legends figure, or has Hasbro misfired with this release?
