While there weren’t any previously-unrevealed Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2018 figures on display at HasCon this morning, the five figures previously-revealed for the next wave were all present and spotlighted at the Marvel booth on the floor, including the Lizard Build-A-Figure, Gwenpool, Lasher, Spider-Punk, and my favorite: Mysterio. And at the Marvel Legends panel this evening, one more hero joined the fight: a modern Marvel Legends Spider-Woman figure!

As expected, all of the Marvel Legends figures that were revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2017 are also on display at HasCon 2017 this morning. Wolverine is dead, to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. Whether killed via being suffocated in liquid adamantium or impaled on a tree by a clone of his own younger self, Wolverine is dead. The inaugural HasCon is being held later this week, where the exclusive Marvel Legends X-Force Deadpool figure will be available. I’m getting my bags packed, but already, we’ve got word of the first major exclusive Marvel toy coming to New York Comic Con 2017 next month! Oftentimes when Bandai Japan shows off a figure and then goes silent on that figure for many months, it means that figure has been silently cancelled. I genuinely expected that to be the case with the bizarre Manga Realization Captain America that they first showed off last October, which debuted and then disappeared. We’re just one week out from the inaugural HasCon, but before Hasbro makes their HasCon reveals, they had one more figure that they wanted to show off first at FanExpo Canada in Toronto this week. Hasbro said they didn’t want to show the 2018 Marvel Legends Deadpool Series Build-A-Figure at SDCC 2017, and now we know why: it’s because he’s Canadian and wanted to make his grand debut in Toronto! Had Marvel Studios not selected Hela to be the primary antagonist of Thor Ragnarok, it’s very likely we’d have never seen her gracing local retail shelves in toy from any company. Ever. But they did, and now Hela is about to become among the most recognizable Marvel female characters in the world!
