Given that Mole Man is the villain in the very first Fantastic Four comic book ever and is a character with 65 years of Marvel history, you might think he’d be a pretty big deal merch-wise. But instead, he’s never had a statue and his only ML figure ever was released 19 years ago! Today’s the day ol’ Moley gets his due, though: the Marvel Legends Mole Man & Moloids figure set is now up for order!

It’s actually pretty shocking just how unloved poor Rupert Elder has been over the years as far as toys go. Mole Man never got a Toybiz Marvel Legends action figure at all, and up until now had only a singular Hasbro entry to his name: a Walmart Exclusive from the hard-to-find 2007 Ronan Build-A-Figure series.

I actually think that the 2007 Mole Man Legends figure still holds up nicely, but there’s no question that Mole Man was due for a fresh and more accessible release.

And so, Hasbro surprised fans at SDCC 2026 last week with an all-new Marvel Legends Mole Man—this time, accompanied by two members of his Moloid army!

Technically, this is the second time Moloids are getting represented in Hasbro Marvel Legends, as Franklin & Valeria Richards 2-Pack (shown above) came with Turg, the Moloid head-in-a jar member of the Future Foundation (no, really).

But for the first time, Moloids are getting bodies, and they’re even partially articulated with movable heads, shoulders and elbows! The Moloids also each come with an extra head and a little figure stand to keep them standing stably.

Mole Man will include one standing Moloid and one crouching Moloid. I think two Moloids will be enough for most collectors, but the rest will need to buy more Mole Man packs if they want to army-build.

Along with his staff and the pair of Moloids, Mole Man will also include an extra pair of swappable hands and a whopping three head sculpts from two comic eras.

All 3 portraits are good, but the head sculpt showing off his enormous overbite is just the greatest. I love it!

This is priced at $39.99, which I think is the correct price for an all-new figure and some deluxe accessories in this day and age. No complaints about the MSRP from me. Honestly, I love this whole pack. Everything included is excellent. Hasbro is really doing right by Mole Man at last. Instant pre-order for me.

The Marvel Legends Mole Man & Moloids figure set is now up for order and expected to ship this fall. It’s exclusive to Fan Channel stores, so you’ll never see it at Target or Walmart on the pegs. As notable a villain as Mole Man is, that’s probably the right distribution choice for a character that traditionally has not been the most popular.
