Hasbro unquestionably brought their ‘A’-Game to San Diego Comic Con 2014, where they silenced critics by announcing a veritable blockbuster assortment of characters for their 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series 6″ figures line. And at the SDCC 2014 Hasbro Marvel Panel, they took their impressiveness even further. While Avengers Marvel Legends Wave 1 will be entirely comic-based, Marvel Legends 2015 Avengers Wave 2 will be a mix of comic and movie characters, and bring us super-articulated Marvel Legends Maria Hill, Agent Coulson, Nick Fury… and the the first-ever Marvel Legends Thanos Build-A-Figure!

Hasbro tried to pull a fast one on fans at San Diego Comic Con 2014 on Thursday, when they pulled the Classic Hawkeye Marvel Legends Avengers Series 1 figure out of the display case after photos leaked with Hawkeye as part of the wave. But on Friday, Hasbro went ahead and laid a few more cards on the table (or figures in the display, as the case may be). Not only will Marvel Legends 2015 bring us the Marvel Legends Hawkeye variant we’ve been waiting for, but we’ll also be getting the long-lost Marvel Legends Iron Fist figure and the parts to make a King Thor Build-A-Figure!

Ordinarily I wouldn’t be particularly enthralled by a company revealing the same figure two years in a row at San Diego Comic-Con, but in this instance I’m willing to make an exception. One of the Marvel Legends figures that appeared at last year’s event and was thought to be lost forever is making a comeback at SDCC 2014–as part of a store-exclusive three-pack! It’s the Marvel Legends Radioactive Man, Ms. Marvel and Ultimate Captain America figures box set!

Well, here’s a teaser that I’d be willing to bet nobody saw coming. With San Diego Comic-Con 2014 set to begin in just another day, Hot Toys is still sending out preview images to whet collectors’ appetites. And while many of these SDCC 2014 previews have been fairly typical stuff like new Marvel Hot Toys figures and accessories, Hot Toys hit us with something really out of the blue today.

We won’t know the details until the con opens, but apparently a high-end Hot Toys SHIELD Helicarrier vehicle model is on the way!

I was blindsided earlier this week when Kotobukiya announced that they were releasing a Bishoujo Psylocke Classic X-Men Version statue as a SDCC 2014 exclusive. I love Psylocke, so I wasn’t complaining, but I had been absolutely certain that the Kotobukiya SDCC 2014 Bishoujo exclusive would be a variant of the Spider-Woman Bishoujo statue. I’ve been fiercely adamant in my stance that I was never going to pick up any of the Hasbro Marvel Super Hero Mashers figures, as I thought they were pretty much the most ludicrous thing ever the first time that I saw them.

For those collecting the Good Smile Company Figma Avengers like I am, the holy trinity is now complete! The Figma Thor and Iron Man Mark VII figures are arriving this summer, and they now will be officially joined by the leader of the Avengers in Fall 2014!

Though he’s not as impressive as his counterparts, you’ll need him anyway if you plan on completing the Avengers Figma lineup: the Figma Captain America figure is now up for order!

The vastly under-appreciated Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is my favorite non-animated TV series in many years, and I am absolutely starved for merch for the show. Despite tying in with the latest Marvel movies and having a high-profile primetime television spot, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. toys are non-existent. So when the Funko Agent Coulson POP Vinyls figure went up for order on Entertainment Earth, I instantly knew he would be mine. Now that the Agents of SHIELD Agent Coulson Funko POP! Vinyl has arrived, I’m both overjoyed and a little disappointed…
