Hasbro has been teasing us with a 2021 Marvel Legends series filled with villains ever since the second half of 2020, and today they have finally put all their cards on the table and fully-revealed the wave! Teased as a “Bring on the Bad Guys” series, the official name for the wave is apparently “Marvel Legends Super Villains” (probably a more logical name!) and is now up for order! And the Build-A-Figure is one I don’t think many saw coming: the classic Marvel horror monster, Xemnu!

2020 has been an unusually slow year for Marvel Select collectors, with only two new figures shown by Diamond Select Toys in the first half of the year: comic book and movie versions of a Taskmaster Select figure. But during the online Comic Con festivities last month, an all-new comics-based figure debuted–and today, he’s officially solicited: the Marvel Select Rampaging Hulk figure is now up for order! And if the size of this 9.75″ behemoth of a figure doesn’t fans’ attention–he’s got a Cosmic/Robot Hulk interchangeable head that will!

The Exclusive Nova statue is definitely one of the better Sideshow exclusives ever, although the 1/4 Silver Surfer statue itself has divided fans somewhat! FLAME ON! Or, at least… sort of on! Maybe 10% on! It’s finally time to complete my reviews of the new Marvel Legends Fantastic Four, with the original Marvel hot-headed young male—Johnny Storm! This is the figure that varies the most wildly from the Walgreens Exclusive version, but this Human Torch is also the easiest Fantastic Four Legends figure to snag online for retail. Is there anything wrong with this flamed-off Human Torch figure, or is non-powered Johnny Storm just not as visually compelling in toy form…?

I was planning to finish off the week by flaming on a review of the new Human Torch figure, but it turned out that there was a despot who demanded to be moved closer to Richards in the reviewing queue! Considered by many to be the greatest villain in the Marvel Universe (and even greatest villain period by some), the King of Latveria has already pre-sold out via sites like Amazon and BBTS despite being two-per-case. EE is still taking orders for the new Marvel Legends Doctor Doom figure for an arrival this month—is this a figure worth locking in if you haven’t done so already…?

Logically I would follow up my 2020 Marvel Legends Invisible Woman review with a look at her brother (the Human Torch), but instead I’m going to mix things up and focus on the character who would be this wave’s headliner if not for a certain Victor von Doom! Fantastic Four Legends The Thing is in-stock and shipping out now via online stores, and hopefully there will be enough to meet demand this time (as Ben is packed at two-per-case), because this ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing is a real winner of an action figure that every fan deserves a shot at!
