With no substantial rumors swirling about and no leaked images of unknown Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures surfacing from overseas, I’ve had my doubts for a while now that we would actually see any kind of exclusive SDCC 2015 Marvel Universe figures set from Hasbro. Well, I think we can effectively put the nail in the coffin of any chance of a SDCC 2015 Marvel Infinite Series set today, as Hasbro has revealed its final two Comic-Con exclusive Marvel items: six figures themed around Ant-Man! But hey… one of them is 3 3/4″. That’s pretty good, right…?

Considering that I like the Funko Marvel Hikari vinyls more than just about any other Marvel toys on the market this year, you would think I’d be overjoyed about the first officially-announced SDCC 2015 Marvel Funko Hikari. But due to a combination of expense fatigue and a shockingly high edition size, I’m just not all that psyched about the SDCC Exclusive Funko Cosmic Powers Deadpool Hikari figure…
Continue Reading →With hype for the Guardians of the Galaxy movie in full swing last July, the SDCC 2013 Exclusive Rocket Raccoon Warbird set became a hot commodity that blew away everyone’s expectations, at one time selling for well over $200 on the afternarket. This year’s exclusive LEGO Marvel box set… is probably going to be a tad less desirable: it’s the just-announced exclusive SDCC 2015 LEGO Throne of Ultron set!
Continue Reading →With under a month to go until the biggest comic convention of 2015 (that isn’t New York Comic Con 2015), the Marvel exclusives are finally being revealed fast and furiously! I don’t think anyone really believed that there would only be one SDCC 2015 exclusive Funko Marvel POP Vinyl, and sure enough, there are more! But the one Funko has now announced is one I probably should have been expecting, but was not: the SDCC Funko X-Force Deadpool Chimichanga Truck POP Rides set!
Continue Reading →Way, way back last summer, Hasbro started showing off concepts for Marvel Legends Dormammu and Magik figures. Fans guessed that some sort of future “magic-themed” box set was in the works… and as it turns out, those fans were correct!
The SDCC 2015 exclusive Marvel Legends Doctor Strange set has now been revealed, and it includes the first Brother Voodoo and Hela figures ever!
Continue Reading →Yesterday I talked about the first San Diego Comic-Con 2015 exclusive Funko figure, but that’s not the only exclusive already announced! There have been exclusive Marvel Minimates box sets at San Diego Comic Con for so many years in a row that there was never really a question of whether there would be SDCC 2015 Exclusive Minimates figures–the only real question is how many there will be! And while we still can’t answer with certainty how many total exclusives will be at the event, we do know at least two exclusive sets that will be on sale there: the exclusive SDCC 2015 Minimates Ant-Man & Avengers Age of Ultron Sets!
Continue Reading →Time has really flown by, but as hard as it is to believe (and I checked my calendar just to be certain), we are now just a month and a half away from San Diego Comic Con 2015! That means that it’s long past time that the Marvel SDCC 2015 exclusives start making themselves known–and in the past few days, they’ve done just that! And what better place to begin than with an exclusive from the King of Exclusives: Funko! And congrats to non-attendees, because you can order this one from home: the Funko SDCC 2015 Exclusive Flocked Ravagers Rocket Raccoon POP Vinyl is now up for order!
Continue Reading →This is going to sound like complete and utter blasphemy coming from me, but I was sort of hoping that there wasn’t going to be a SDCC 2014 LEGO Marvel exclusive this year. The San Diego Comic Con LEGO Marvel minifigure exclusives have traditionally been both difficult and extremely expensive to acquire, so I would have been just fine with LEGO forgoing any Comic-Con exclusive LEGO Marvel sets this year.
But with a week to go until Comic-Con, they just had to go and announce an exclusive I can’t live without–it’s the SDCC 2014 LEGO Rocket Raccoon’s Warbird set exclusive!
Continue Reading →For the past few years Iron Man has reigned supreme as Marvel’s resident cash cow. But at San Diego Comic Con 2014, Iron Man will have to step aside for Marvel’s new resident cash… raccoon!
Not only will there be a Gentle Giant Rocket Raccoon Mini Bust and a Funko Flocked Rocket Raccoon POP! Vinyl as 2014 SDCC exclusives, but now an exclusive Rocket Raccoon plush toy, mug and Labbit have been announced as well!
Continue Reading →A couple days ago I declared that the Mighty Muggs Rom Space Knight figure was the most out-of-left-field exclusive for this month’s San Diego Comic Con 2014. Well, I stand by that original assessment.
But if there was a prize for second most out-of-left-field SDCC 2014 exclusive, it would probably go to UCC Distributing for an exclusive they’re partnered up with Marvel and Hasbro for. He’s cosplayed as Hulk, Wolverine, Thor, Captain America and Spider-Man–and this month you’ll be able to get your own 2014 SDCC Exclusive Deadpool Mr. Potato Head: Dead Peel!
Continue Reading →I genuinely thought that there was a chance I was going to get away scot-free without having to buy any of this year’s Gentle Giant San Diego Comic Con 2014 exclusives. I’m okay living without a mini bust of the Rebel Alliance’s resident butterball, Jek Porkins, and I need a two foot tall, $500 neon green, glow-in-the-dark Aliens figure even less. But then Gentle Giant had to go and do it. They had to make their Marvel exclusive something that I absolutely cannot live without.
He’s about to take the world by storm and become more popular than Spider-Man and Wolverine combined, so this exclusive is gonna be hot: the SDCC 2014 Rocket Raccoon Mini Bust has now been revealed!
Continue Reading →As far as unexpected, totally out-of-left-field exclusives go, Hasbro has just won San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Hands down. Unless you’ve been reading comics for three and a half decades (or grew up making semi-daily trips to the comic book store and buying old issues out of the bargain bins like me), you probably don’t have any clue who ROM The Space Knight even is. The robot form of ROM Space Knight hasn’t appeared in Marvel Comics in almost thirty years. But this month, ROM is back (sort of)–a Hasbro SDCC 2014 Exclusive ROM Space Knight Mighty Muggs figure is coming our way!
Continue Reading →It looks like it may turn out to be a pretty light year for Funko Marvel POP! Vinyl collectors as far as 2014 San Diego Comic-Con exclusives go! While last year we had a multitude of SDCC Marvel POP! Vinyl exclusives released by Funko (including Unmasked Iron Patriot & Iron Man, Metallic Red Hulk, Metallic Ghost Rider and Metallic Deadpool), this year it looks like we’ll be enjoying one and only one 2014 SDCC Marvel POP Vinyls exclusive. Luckily, it just so happens to be my very favorite Marvel character: the SDCC 2014 Flocked Rocket Raccoon POP! Vinyl has now been revealed!
Continue Reading →Although we’ve been waiting for Marvel to officially announce the Funko Marvel SDCC 2014 exclusives, I surmised instantly what they were going to be based off of the vague hints that Funko posted many weeks ago. One of the hints indicated there would be a San Diego Comic Con 2014 exclusive Marvel Mystery Minis set of twelve figures–and lo and behold, that’s exactly what it is! But while most Funko Comic Con exclusives turn out to be straight-up repaints, Funko has surprised us by including some brand new molds unexpectedly as part of the 2014 SDCC Exclusive set!
Continue Reading →Just because we’re only three weeks away from San Diego Comic Con 2014 doesn’t mean that every company has played all its cards already as far as Marvel SDCC 2014 exclusives go!
Today, Kotobukiya revealed a third exclusive statue that I had a feeling was in the works–the SDCC 2014 Kotobukiya Gray Hulk ARTFX+ statue has now been revealed!
