Time has really flown by, but as hard as it is to believe (and I checked my calendar just to be certain), we are now just a month and a half away from San Diego Comic Con 2015! That means that it’s long past time that the Marvel SDCC 2015 exclusives start making themselves known–and in the past few days, they’ve done just that! And what better place to begin than with an exclusive from the King of Exclusives: Funko! And congrats to non-attendees, because you can order this one from home: the Funko SDCC 2015 Exclusive Flocked Ravagers Rocket Raccoon POP Vinyl is now up for order!

Last year’s hottest Funko Marvel SDCC exclusive turned out to be (unsurprisingly) the Flocked Rocket Raccoon POP Vinyls figure. That figure took the standard orange flight suit Rocket Raccoon and added a fuzzy flocking to all of Rocket’s furry bits, making one of the more adorable Marvel Funko figures ever. It also ended up being one of the hardest-to-obtain Marvel exclusives at the show, and was selling for up to four times its price on the aftermarket at one point following the event.

And so, why mess with what works, right? Thus, the first of the (sure to be many) Funko SDCC 2015 exclusives is another flocked Rocket Raccoon figure!

This Funko POP Ravagers Rockets Raccoon Flocked variant figure was previously available internationally via Australian mega-retailer Popcultcha, but loads of stateside Funko collectors have been waiting for this version of Rocket Raccoon to make his official debut in the United States.

And thanks to Diamond Comics Distribution, he’ll not only be available at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 itself–but also via online pre-order for non-attendees (or those who just don’t want to fight the mob at SDCC to get one)!

This time out, Rocket is sporting his red “Cherry Bomb” Ravagers outfit from the climactic battle of the movie (not to be confused with Rocket’s blue “I got a Baby Groot” outfit from the end of the movie–which, by the way, I hear we can expect to see announced very soon).

This exclusive is a pretty minor variation from last year’s Flocked Rocket POP! Vinyls exclusive, but it’s a welcome addition for Guardians of the Galaxy collectors and a good pick-up for those who missed the first Funko POP Vinyls Flocked Rocket Raccoon.

The Flocked Ravagers Rocket Raccoon Funko POP! Vinyls figure is now available for pre-order, and will be shipping out in late July/August 2015 to those who can’t attend San Diego Comic-Con 2015. Sure, non-attendees are going to have to wait a little longer to get their paws on this flocked Rocket Raccoon Ravagers figure–but you can’t beat paying the same at-con price of $12.99 without ever leaving your home!
