Last month I reviewed the awesome Marvel Funko Fabrikations Deadpool figure, the first Marvel character to be released as part of the Funko Fabrikations soft sculptures line of toys. I gave the Funko Deadpool Fabrikations figure a glowing review and said that Funko was “going to have a tough time topping ‘Pool”. I fully expected the second Funko Marvel Fabrikations figure to be a letdown after the exceptional Deadpool toy. Turns out, I actually like the second figure orders of magnitude more: the Funko Fabrikations Rocket Raccoon figure is now up for order!

If there’s one company that has surprised me over and over and over in 2014, it’s Funko. Everything Funko has come out with this year from Funko Marvel Mystery Minis to Marvel Funko Fabrikations has turned to gold, and the various lines just keep getting better and better.

I was skeptical about the Funko Marvel Deadpool Fabrikations figure, but it turned out to be one of my favorite Marvel toys of the year once I had it in-hand. And now Funko has announced their second Marvel Fabrikations soft sculpture, and it’s my very favorite Marvel character: Rocket Raccoon!

After decades of wallowing in obscurity, Rocket Raccoon has exploded to become one of Marvel’s most-marketed characters in 2014. From Hot Toys Rocket Raccoon to Rocket Raccoon Mini Busts and KidRobot Labbits figures, Rocket Raccoon is everywhere this year. And the absolute most lovable Rocket Raccoon toy yet is very likely this 6″ Rocket Raccoon Funko Fabrikation figure, which is covered in huggable, fuzzy goodness.

The Rocket Raccoon Fabrikations Funko figure is now available for pre-order, and is scheduled to be released in October 2014. This was an instant pre-order for me, as in “I stalked Entertainment Earth all afternoon long until I was able to lock in my plush Rocket Raccoon figure”. Yes, I am that crazy. What about it?
