Guardians of the Galaxy Mystery Minis Case Ratios & Photos

Although Funko teased a whole series of Guardians of the Galaxy Mystery Minis vinyl figures last winter, we didn’t get to see a peek at them until the New York Toy Fair 2014–and that was only some concept art in the Funko 2014 catalog marked “Confidential”. Not wanting Funko to bust my head, I couldn’t share that artwork–but today, there’s nothing left to hide! Funko has fully-revealed the set, and the Funko Mystery Minis Guardians of the Galaxy set is now available for order!

Guardians of the Galaxy Mystery Minis Case Funko Summer 2014

The first series of Marvel Mystery Minis figures released ended up being a real pain to collect, as the series was rife with 1/92 and 1/144 chase figures that were ludicrously tough (and expensive) to blox (blind-box).

So the best news about this series–by far–is that every one of the twelve figures in the set is even-packed at one per case of 12 (this, the case ratio for each figure is 1/12). Thank god. I want a complete set and now I can get one without paying a fortune blind-boxing. And hey–the art on the GOTG Mystery Minis case is pretty good-looking, too!

The twelve figures that make up the Funko Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Mystery Minis Series are as follows:

Rocket Raccoon (Smiling)
Rocket Racoon (Growling)
Starlord (Aiming Gun)
Star-Lord (Standing Casually)
Gamora
Groot
Drax
Glow-in-the-Dark Drax
Nebula
Glow-in-the-Dark Nebula
Ronan the Accuser
Metallic Ronan the Accuser

I’m glad to see Ronan and Nebula represented in this series, as both characters have gotten the shaft from most other lines of Guardians of the Galaxy merch that are coming out.

Funko Guardians of the Galaxy Mystery MinisThe Groot Mystery Mini didn’t come out as well as his concept art, but both Rocket Raccoons, Drax and Gamora look super-cute. Star Lord is unfortunately a bit “Ehn”, but by and large I am pleased with Funko’s work here. I’d also love a full-size Glow-in-the-Dark Drax POP! Vinyl figure as an exclusive later this year (hint, hint)!

The whole case of Funko Guardians of the Galaxy Mystery Minis figures (containing all twelve figures) is now available for order, with an expected release date of June 2014. At under 6 bucks per figure, that’s less than I could blox a set for in-store, so I went ahead and just ordered a case/complete set.

What do you think of the Funko GOTG Mystery Minis, Marvel fans? Are these little vinyl figures cute enough to earn a spot in your collection, or are you not impressed with Funko’s latest effort?
