NYCC 2026 brought a little bit of news for almost every Marvel Legends collectors, with reveals of new figures from Marvel Animation, a couple new and reissue figures from the comics… and even a trio of new releases for Avengers Doomsday. Marvel Legends Avengers Doomsday Wave 2 is now up for order, including Beast, Nightcrawler and even a concept art Lord Doom figure!

The best figure in this wave, in my opinion, is the movie Beast figure by a large margin. The Kelsey Grammer likeness is actually pretty solid, and this likely could be the last time we see a 6” Kelsey Grammer Beast produced by Hasbro.

Beast comes with removable eyeglasses, swappable hands, an alternate angry head and modern pin-free articulation.

Hasbro first released a movie Beast Legends figure nearly two decades ago, but this new version blows it out of the water. This is the figure from this trio that will sell out first.

Further flexing out the movie X-Men roster, we’ve got an all-new MCU Nightcrawler Legends figure. This particular figure is a disappointment to me, although the in-hand prototype shown at NYCC looks better than the official photos and features lighter blue skin enabling better recognition of the detailing.

The Alan Cumming portrait on Nightcrawler is still far from good, though, unfortunately. The big changes to Nightcrawler’s design since X2: X-Men United are Nightcrawler’s now very grey hair and the huge ‘X’ across his jacket.

I don’t love either new design element, although I do appreciate Hasbro including Kurt’s signature twin cutlasses.

Finally, we’ve got a Concept Art Lord Doom figure that Hasbro has already confirmed definitely won’t be in the Avengers Doomsday film. These types of concept-based figures tend to be weak sellers, since fans are generally much more inclined toward how characters actually end up appearing in the movie.

Hasbro couldn’t confirm what the book Lord Doom comes with is or where this might have ever appeared in the movie at all, so the sole thing we know for sure is that we won’t be seeing this variant in Doomsday. That’s a tough sales pitch to be sure.

I know it’s just Concept Series, but I straight up hate the look of the ugly mask poor Doom has to wear on this figure.

All three Avengers Doomsday Marvel Legends Wave 2 figures are now up for order and shipping out this winter. This wave also comes with a guarantted-unpopular price increase to $29.99/figure. As I said, I can genuinely only see Beast being a “hot” figure from this wave, although maybe Nightcrawler will surprise me.

How do these action figures look to you, MCU fans? Will you be adding any of them to *YOUR* Marvel Legends collection?
