Collectors are getting less and less single-packed Marvel Legends figures each year that aren’t repacks, exclusives or Retro releases, but Hasbro has a nibble today for fans missing mass release waves of new figures! Mixing it up with ultra-niche characters like Acroyear and modern spins like Doom Suit Spider-Man, Marvel Legends Mini Comics Wave 3 is now up for order! Let’s have a look at the newest Hasbro Half-Dozen…

While Mini Comics Wave 3 Elektra will be using some existing parts, she’ll also have an all-new head, arms and torso, making her feel pretty fresh nonetheless. The legs are a reuse, but look spot-on to my eyes anyway.
Along with her obligatory plastic “mini comic”, Elektra comes with 2 sais and 4 extra hands. The hand that curls around a sai is the highlight for me.
With a lot of new molded body parts and 7 accessories, Marvel Legends Elektra is a real stand out in this set and the one figure I foresee pre-selling out very early.
The wildest, craziest inclusion in this Mini Comics wave is unquestionably the Micronauts villain Acroyear. I truly never thought we’d see something like Micronauts in the modern Marvel Legends series, but I suppose after ROM and Crystar, anything really is possible.
The main selling point here is “big shiny space armor guy with huge energy sword”, but in a day when Marvel Legends action figures are on the cusp of 30 bucks, that may not be enough for a mass-release figure.
And speaking of niche stuff: this wave is also anchored by Earth-X Captain America, from the legendary 1999 limited series “Earth-X”! I don’t know that I’ve heard anyone talk about that comic in over a decade before this figure was announced, so hopefully this toy can help direct a new generation of readers to the comic it’s based upon.
I don’t really enjoy looking at the all-scarred-up body of Captain America, but at least Hasbro created a 100% newly molded figure to show it off.
Earth-X Cap also gets an alternate head, 4 extra hands and his shield as accessories, along with the “Earth-X #1” plastic brick of mini comic. It’s a very nice spread got an all-new figure who Hasbro almost certainly spent most of this wave’s budget on.
A figure that looks terrific and I really hope sells well is the new Marvel Legends Hawkeye from the Matt Fraction era. Hasbro first made a figure of this costume way back in 2013 as part of the Rocket Raccoon BAF wave (from before anyone in the general public knew who Rocket Raccoon was), but that figure was due for an update.
The paint deco on this Hawkeye looks like an improvement, and getting a Clint head with a bandage on it is just the best since Clint was constantly banged up and bandaged in that run.
Hopefully this is successful enough that Hasbro gives us a new Kate Bishop Hawkeye and Pizza Dog (Lucky) to complete the set.
A figure in this wave that I expected to be a solid “Hell No” from me but has actually caught my attention is the new Doom Suit Spider-Man. This is from the 2024 Joe Kelly “8 Deaths of Spider-Man” storyline (which didn’t exactly set the world on fire).
This figure basically looks like a bizarre mashup of Spider-Armor Spider-Man and Doctor Strange; the whole aesthetic is striking but ludicrous. I’m finding myself really liking how *different* this looks from the usual Marvel Legends Spideys we get. That said, Hasbro is of course utilizing a lot of existing tooling for this figure (as seems appropriate, given the design). The arms and legs, however, are all-new.
I don’t know if I necessarily *love* this figure, but I do think I’m guying to *buy* this figure. I appreciate when Hasbro gives us recent comic book costumes and/or characters, and this is definitely a fun one. Thumbs up.
Rounding out the wave, we’ve got Elsa Bloodstone. Believe it or not, this is her second Marvel Legends figure, as she previously was in the 2017 Marvel Legends A-Force set that Toys R Us carried. That figure is a bit dated now, so we get an upgrade to Elsa here, including new legs and a new torso.
Elsa comes with 2 extra hands and a whopping 3 guns, which is more than we’d get ever with just about any character that’s not the Punisher or Cable.
I think the mass market appeal of Elsa Bloodstone might be zero, so I’m actually quite surprised to see her here in this wave that will be widely distributed—although Hasbro can at least profit off the ever-popular Marvel Zombies logo they can slap on her packaging.
Marvel Legends Mini Comics Wave 3 is now up for order, and scheduled to arrive at the end of 2026/start of 2027. What figures from this series, if any, catch your eye, Marvel collectors?

Oh, I need those Hawkeye and Elsa Bloodstone figures.
