Target hasn’t been a favorite source of many collectors for exclusive Hasbro toys this year, as Target has cancelled a plethora of confirmed pre-orders and angered a lot of fans. But hopefully they’ve got all their ducks in a row now, because they have two sure-to-be-popular Marvel Legends pre-orders this week as part of their Fall Geek Out 2026 event: an updated No Way Home Spider-Man and the first Marvel Legends Cypher figure ever!

A sure sign of the end-times is that Doug Ramsey, long considered the most useless of the classic New mutants (and the first to die) is finally getting his first official action figure over 40+ years after his first appearance!

Cypher has taken on an increasing level of importance in the Marvel Comics universe over the past decade, so if ever there was a time for Hasbro to pull the trigger on a Cypher figure (and hopefully his Heir of Apocalypse self, Revelation, next year), this is it! And thankfully, Hasbro has finally given the green light, and Douglas Ramsey will join our collections at last this fall.

We’re overdue to see the Warlock Build-A-Figure from way back in 2017 re-released as a deluxe solo figure, but while we wait for that, at least Warlock appears here in sword form to protect his dear selffriend. This is probably the best part of the figure, honestly. The Warlock sword is the only accessory besides 4 extra hands. I’m not really sure what other accessories Hasbro would give a guy whose mutant power is being a linguist, mind you, but I still would have liked an alternate portrait.

And speaking of which–the head sculpt for Doug is neither terrible nor great—it’s just sort of middling and inexpressive. I’m okay enough with it from photos and I’m hopeful I’ll like it more on my shelf. If nothing else, I’ll like it as an official standalone Cypher figure.

Joining Cypher as part of the 2026 Target Fall Geek-Out is a repaint of the No Way Home Tom Holland Spider-Man figure. I’m surprised this release is a limited store exclusive, as it’s not a niche item like Cypher at all.

Basically, this is the Tom Holland Spidey from a few years ago, now with brighter colors and new heads. That old NWH Spider-Man isn’t readily accessible any more, and the new colors and heads improve upon the figure a lot. With the continued hype for Tom Holland Spider-Man this year, this is a solid and smart release.

The Marvel Legends Cypher and No Way Home Spider-Man exclusives go up for sale on Target’s website on Friday, September 18 at 9AM EST. If prior patterns release, these will sell out -very- rapidly, so set an alarm for yourself if you want one of these. Both will presumably also be available in retail stores once they start shipping, although Target exclusives can be extremely hit or missin stores (like Onslaught!).
