The worst-kept secret during San Diego Comic-Con 2026 this week was that collectibles companies would need to hold off until Sunday, the last day of SDCC, to unveil their Avengers Doomsday products. Buzz built up throughout the show, and the time promised moment finally arrived this afternoon. Hasbro, among other companies, has dropped the curtain, and Marvel Legends Doomsday movie figures go up for order Monday at 1PM EST! Let’s take a peek at wave 1…

Leaked lists of upcoming Hasbro Doomsday movie figures have been circulating for a while now, so there’s nothing absolutely shocking in today’s reveals.

Even so, this is our first chance to get a look at the actual figures Hasbro has coming our way later this year to tie-in with the launch of the movie, so there’s huge value just in seeing what we might (or might not) be buying.

Doctor Doom obviously needed to be in this first wave, no matter what. His first MCU figure feels, well… sort of underwhelming. There’s not as much detailing on this as you’d expect, with very little paint wash evident in the photos. It makes this figure feel a bit “unfinished” to me.

Everyone is going to want a Dr. Doom regardless, so Hasbro had a low bar to meet here to earn sales. I think this Doom is “fine” as a first release, but we’re almost unquestionably going to see this character redone over and over again in the next few years.

Chris Hemsworth returns to Marvel Legends for the “new” Doomsday Thor, but the body is just Infinity War Thor all over again.

It’s not the worst mold in the world, but it is too tall and over half a decade old now. Again, this is “fine” (and at least includes Mjolnir and Stormbreaker), but not what I’m here for.

What I am here for, however, is this long, long awaited Channing Tatum Gambit Legends figure. This is the character I wanted but couldn’t get from Deadpool & Wolverine, and I’m delighted to get it here.

The Hasbro Marvel team seemed super hyped about the likeness, which seems “okay” to me in the official photos but nothing mind-blowing. Gambit comes with his all-important playing cards and staff.

Gambit is fighting Shang Chi in the Doomsday trailer, and will be able to fight him again as Doomsday Marvel Legends figures.

The accessories with Shang Chi are easily the best of the wave, as he’ll include the 10 Rings, which can be worn as wearable wristbands or attach to energy effects for a super-cool dynamic look. That said, he’s still got visible pinned elbow joints, which should not be happening in 2026 and is a huge thumbs down from me.

Anthony Mackie Captain America gets his first goggles-free Marvel Legends figure (finally) as part of this wave.

It’s nice to get Falcon Cap as a standard figure release, but he looks very plain without his wings. Unless there’s some great wings-free scenes with this Cap in Doomsday, this is a definite pass for me.

Lastly, the wave is rounded out by the first-ever MCU Cyclops figure. James Marsden in the MCU is honestly mind-blowing, and I’m quite chuffed he’ll be in the first wave.

I like that he’ll have a regular visor in addition to one that can be swapped in with a slot for an optic blast effects piece so that he can be posed static or dynamic. That said, this is based on concept art, so Cyclops will have screen-inaccurate boots. Bummer.

The first wave of Avengers Doomsday Marvel Legends figures goes up for pre-order Monday July 27th at 1PM EST and should ship out in the fall. I would anticipate Doom and the X-Men being the more popular figures in this particular wave. Amazon will have an exclusive Magneto (with cloth cape!) available then as well, with Walmart following with exclusive Fantastic Four figures later in the year.
