The most-anticipated series of every year for a large contingent of Marvel Legends collectors is the annual X-Men Legends series, and while we’ve got some offshoot waves coming later in the year, the core wave has begun arriving! While this is another stacked series, the 2019 X-Men Legends Build-A-Figure is a little… less… demanded than the majority of the wave. The Marvel Legends Caliban BAF can already be found for around just 50 bucks online… but is he comparatively cheap because he’s bad, or just in low demand…?

Although it’s just the second day of May, it’s never too early to start planning for the biggest collecting event of the summer: San Diego Comic Con! And in that vein, Diamond Select Toys is striking first blood this year: the full range of DST SDCC 2019 Exclusives are now up for pre-order online! There’s a variety of neat stuff (including a wacky Michelangelo as Batman figure), but on the Marvel front, we’ve got an X-Force Deadpool 1/2 Scale bust and three variant Marvel Gallery figures: X-Force Deadpool/X-23 and a SHIELD Captian Marvel statue!

Kotobukiya Marvel Bishoujo collectors have had a rather boring last few years, as the last time a new character went up for order was in 2017—and that Captain Marvel Bishoujo figure was cancelled until further notice and has never come out at all. Sideshow Collectibles put a record-breaking five female X-Men Premium Format Figures up for order last year, but it looks like the party isn’t over for fans of the X-Ladies just yet! While a continuing Marvel Legends Deadpool Series on paper sounded like it could get really old, really fast, Hasbro has actually managed to make the Deadpool Legends highly desirable by sprinkling in characters that are more X-Men related than necessarily Deadpool related. The 2018 Marvel Legends Deadpool Wave 1 has been incredibly popular and hard to find in stores thus far, and Wave 2 looks to be just as popular with headliners like Bishop, Omega Red and a Sauron Build-A-Figure!

With the “obvious” selections of ONE:12 Collective Homemade Suit Spider-Man and movie Black Panther being revealed in the buildup to New York Toy Fair 2018, I really wasn’t sure what I’d be seeing added to the Marvel ONE:12 Collective series walking into the Mezco Toyz booth at the show. As it turns out, the three comic-based figures debuted were all ones I wouldn’t have guessed: ONE:12 Collective Blade, Cable and Cyclops Figures!
