Hasbro and Kaiyodo have been playing a little game of one-upmanship with the X-Men over the last year, with both companies releasing competing 6” Psylocke and yellow Wolverine figures in rapid succession to each other. And now, that trend is continuing with a release that I think may put all of the previous Revoltech Marvel figures to shame. This is a unique, landmark weekend for Hasbro, because for the very first time ever, they’re unveiling new 2019 Marvel Legends figures at two major international conventions in separate countries in Europe! Erick Sosa has sculpted some of Kotobukiya’s most legendary pieces over the past half decade-plus, including the ultra-popular X-Men Danger Room Sessions series of resin statues and the grail-like Spider-Man and Venom Fine Arts statues. But last month, an era came to an end when Sosa announced he was leaving Koto.
