When Kotobukiya had official photos to show over the weekend alongside the first public look at the painted prototype of their Bishoujo Spider-Gwen statue at Japan’s Winter Wonder Festival 2016, the writing was on the wall that the immensely-anticipated Gwen Stacy staue pre-order was imminent.

When you’re the biggest female breakout star Marvel has had in many years, you don’t have to wait long for your first statue to be released! This weekend at the 2016 Winter Wonder Festival, the Kotobukiya Spider-Gwen Bishoujo statue was fully revealed–including an unmasked Gwen Stacy head!

Before we get to the New York Toy Fair 2016 in less than a week (I’m so gonna get run over by a taxi cab), there was a little (huge) show in Japan this weekend called Winter WonderFest 2016 where loads of import Marvel figures were announced. There’s a lot to talk about, but let’s start with one of the cutest toy lines in existence: the Good Smile Company showed off Avengers: Age of Ultron Captain America, Iron Man and Deadpool Nendoroids figures! “Scourge” is a name that tends to evoke two distinct reactions from various Marvel fans: terror or “Huh?”. A mercenary who primarily kills super-villains, Scourge is a fan-favorite character of longtime Captain America readers and one of the most efficient villain-killers in Marvel Universe history. After Funko announced close to two dozen Captain America: Civil War POP Vinyls and Dorbz less earlier this month, it seemed like Funko had played its full hand as far as their merchandise for the movie went.
