I hadn’t planned on moving Marvel Toy News to a new (expensive) high-powered server this year, but my hosting company had other ideas, and so… anyway, welcome back! I’ve got a number of things to catch up in this week (including my first Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2017 figure reviews!), but first, let’s look at a 6″ Spidey of a different sort–the long-awaited Mezco ONE:12 Collective Spider-Man figure is now up for order!

Last week Diamond Select Toys premiered their buzz-worthy Marvel Select Lady Deadpool figure, but that wasn’t the only major Marvel solicitation DST had in store for us this month! DST continues to spoil us collectors with an enormous depth and breadth of characters, including several that they’ve never produced before: the first Gwenpool statue and Marvel Minimates Mojo, Spiral, Silver Samurai and more are now up for order!

In a high-end collecting landscape where a large number of collectors are running out of space (both display and storage) and 1/4 statue prices are skyrocketing, Sideshow is making the interesting decision to scale down for their latest Marvel line! The comic-based Avengers Aseemble statues line will be in the smaller and more affordable 1/5 scale, and the Sideshow Exclusive Classic Iron Man statue that kicks off the line is now up for order!

When the Sandman Series of Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2017 figures appeared outta nowhere yesterday, I had a feeling we’d be seeing Hasbro allow pre-order solicitations from online retailers within days. And as anticipated, that’s exactly what has occurred–the 6″ Spider-Man Legends Sandman Series is now up for pre-order online and expected to start shipping within the next few weeks!

Ordinarily I wouldn’t write up a whole article just because of a couple new low-resolution photos surfacing of a whole series of figures that we already know about, but since we’re in a little bit of a Marvel Legends news drought right now–and these particular low-res photos reveal some details we weren’t previously privy to–I think I need to make an exception! Start saving now–the Marvel Legends 2017 Spider-Man Wave 1 Sandman Series has now started to be found!
UPDATE: The Marvel Legends 2017 Sandman Series is now up for order online!

Though we’re still well over a month from when they’re due to be released, packaged and loose official images of all three of the Winter 2017 LEGO Marvel sets have now been revealed! And while each of the LEGO Marvel 2017 sets brings something new and exciting to the table, perhaps none does more so than the LEGO Iron Man Detroit Steel Strikes Set… with Agent Coulson minifigure and LOLA!!!

Diamond Select Toys has been teasing Marvel collectors for many months now regarding an all-new, never-before-done comics-based Marvel female figure, and I’ve heard tons of guesses ranging from Rogue to Carol Danvers Captain Marvel to Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel to Psylocke and more. But the truth was uncovered today on PreviewsWorld, and the actuality is a figure I don’t remember seeing anyone guess: the Marvel Select Lady Deadpool figure has now been revealed!

It’s taken close to half a year, but it looks like supply is finally fully catching up to demand on the inaugural X-Men Marvel Legends wave! Marvel Legends Deadpool has been restocked online at MSRP throughout the past week and is finally becoming common, but today’s review subject is a figure a little… less… hard to find! He’s filling the shelves of most retail stores and can be bought online for about 11 bucks flat, but is the Marvel Legends Havok figure really all that bad…?

Bandai Tamashii Nations shocked the Figuarts collecting world last month when they put the SH Figuarts Iron Man Mark VI & Hall of Armor set up for order in the United States–the first Marvel Figuarts figure ever released domestically! Many longtime Iron Man Figuarts collectors were wondering if this 2017 Mark 6 figure was improved enough to warrant a new purchase, but now we can judge for ourselves with new comparison photos…

Although Hot Toys has nearly drowned collectors in new Iron Man sixth scale figures over the past few years, one thing that they haven’t really done is straight-up reissue old figures–until now! In a real surprise twist today, Hot Toys announced that two of their most expensive and sought-after Marvel Movie Masterpiece Series figures are coming back for a return engagement: limited exclusive reissues of Hot Toys Iron Man Mark IV & Mark VI are now up for order!

Banpresto has long been one of my favorite international toy manufacturers because of the huge variety of characters and sizes of low-priced anime figures that they produce. One of their most recent successful series is the Creator×Creator line, which has been composed entirely of anime characters… until now! Coming in Spring 2017, Banpresto goes Marvel with the Creator X Creator Spider-Man figure!

Remember that Funko POP Vinyls Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan box back that leaked a few weeks ago? Well, there’s good news and bad news. The good news is–Kamala Khan has arrived earlier than expected! The bad news is–she’s a Walgreens Exclusive (AAAUUUGGHHHH!!)! And oh yeah, she’s also brought a certain clone buddy, but you better work fast to find them–the Funko Ms. Marvel and Scarlet Spider POP Vinyls are already all over the aftermarket!

The success and growth of the Marvel Animated statues line based off of the Skottie Young Marvel Babies artwork has been one of the most delightful surprises of 2016, and this week Gentle Giant announced another new addition to the family coming in the spring! Though we got a convention exclusive Rocket Raccoon Animated Statue in a different style, the first Marvel Babies Guardians of the Galaxy statue is coming our way: the Gentle Giant Marvel Animated Star-Lord statue is now up for order!

I quickly fell in love with Loot Crate over two years ago when they had their first major Marvel exclusive: the Glow-in-the-Dark Groot Funko POP Vinyls figure. Just as quickly, I fell out of love and cancelled my subscription when I realized how much junk I was accumulating from mystery boxes I didn’t even enjoy anymore. It’s been a long time, but LootCrate has pulled me back in this month with an awesome exclusive in this month’s box–the Exclusive Doctor Strange Q-Fig Figure is now up for order!

Earlier today, I posted the official photos and pre-order information for Square-Enix’s Deadpool Play Arts Kai figure, which I knew I was going to hear some grumbles about the pricing of (because PAK are, well… pricey). The price on that item didn’t sting me too much, though, because I had the foreknowledge that a way more expensive Deadpool figure would be going up later in the day–and so it now has! The insanely dynamic Sideshow Exclusive Deadpool Heat-Seeker Premium Format Figure is now up for order—with a price-tag that’s as crazy as this statue’s aesthetic!
