Continuing to slog through my massive backlog of Marvel Legends figures that I have queued for review, today I’m looking at one of this year’s most surprising Build-A-Figures. Sasquatch is one of the cheaper complete Marvel Legends BAFs on the aftermarket in quite a while, and has only a tenuous connection to the character whose series he’s the Build-A-Figure of (Deadpool). Is this Hasbro figure worth upgrading to if you already own the Toybiz version?

You know that old saying that “the sequel is never as good as the first”? Well, it doesn’t look as if that’s going to be the case for Deadpool 2—but far more importantly, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be the case for Hot Toys’ second crack at Deadpool! While there have only been minor changes to the costume both in the movie and for the figure, Hot Toys has found a way to upgrade this MMS and make it superior to the original: the 1/6 Hot Toys Deadpool 2 figure is now up for order!

At this point, we’ve seen almost everything Marvel Legends that Hasbro revealed last year at SDCC 2017 released in stores—with a couple of key exceptions. We’re still waiting for a wide release of the much-anticipated X-Men Marvel Legends Apocalypse series, but another (sort of) X-related release just came available this spring. Marvel Universe collectors have had little to enjoy so far in 2018, but the Marvel Legends Deadpool Rainbow Squad box set is now up for order!

While a continuing Marvel Legends Deadpool Series on paper sounded like it could get really old, really fast, Hasbro has actually managed to make the Deadpool Legends highly desirable by sprinkling in characters that are more X-Men related than necessarily Deadpool related. The 2018 Marvel Legends Deadpool Wave 1 has been incredibly popular and hard to find in stores thus far, and Wave 2 looks to be just as popular with headliners like Bishop, Omega Red and a Sauron Build-A-Figure!

Diamond Select Toys had a pretty substantial showing of upcoming Marvel statues at New York Toy Fair 2017, but believe it or not, we’ve already seen over a half-dozen more new pieces not shown at Toy Fair revealed and solicited just this month! The latest addition is a completely unexpected one: a 1:2 Scale Deadpool Bust! And half-scale Wade has a solicitation buddy—the Marvel Gallery Wolverine PVC Statue is also up for order!

It’s been a predictably calm and quiet weekend for Marvel toy news, which makes this another ideal time to jump back and look at some more upcoming Marvel toys revealed last month at New York Toy Fair 2018! But with the embargo on talking about Avengers Infinity War toys still in effect, we got a singular new Marvel Select reveal at the 2018 Toy Fair. Although 2018 kicked off with the surprisingly outstanding Marvel Legends Black Panther series, it’s otherwise been a bit of a slow start for Marvel Legends 2018. We won’t see most of this year’s new figures revealed until New York Toy Fair 2018 next month, and we’re still waiting for the Lizard and Sasquatch series to go up for order domestically. But internationally, the Marvel Legends Deadpool series was just released this week—including a mass-release X-Force Deadpool Hasbro hasn’t officially announced yet!

Tokyo Comic Con has traditionally not been a hotspot for Marvel toy news, but with more import Marvel figure lines being made right now than ever before, there were actually some pretty big reveals at this week’s Tokyo Comic Con 2017!
