At this point, we’ve seen almost everything Marvel Legends that Hasbro revealed last year at SDCC 2017 released in stores—with a couple of key exceptions. We’re still waiting for a wide release of the much-anticipated X-Men Marvel Legends Apocalypse series, but another (sort of) X-related release just came available this spring. Marvel Universe collectors have had little to enjoy so far in 2018, but the Marvel Legends Deadpool Rainbow Squad box set is now up for order!

While a continuing Marvel Legends Deadpool Series on paper sounded like it could get really old, really fast, Hasbro has actually managed to make the Deadpool Legends highly desirable by sprinkling in characters that are more X-Men related than necessarily Deadpool related. The 2018 Marvel Legends Deadpool Wave 1 has been incredibly popular and hard to find in stores thus far, and Wave 2 looks to be just as popular with headliners like Bishop, Omega Red and a Sauron Build-A-Figure!
Continue Reading →Diamond Select Toys had a pretty substantial showing of upcoming Marvel statues at New York Toy Fair 2017, but believe it or not, we’ve already seen over a half-dozen more new pieces not shown at Toy Fair revealed and solicited just this month! The latest addition is a completely unexpected one: a 1:2 Scale Deadpool Bust! And half-scale Wade has a solicitation buddy—the Marvel Gallery Wolverine PVC Statue is also up for order!
Continue Reading →It’s been a predictably calm and quiet weekend for Marvel toy news, which makes this another ideal time to jump back and look at some more upcoming Marvel toys revealed last month at New York Toy Fair 2018! And once again, I’ll be revisiting the booth that I thought had the best overall showing at the event: Diamond Select Toys. We knew a Marvel Premier Collection Domino Statue was coming prior to the event, but I didn’t expect how good she would look—or that she would be displayed next to a resin Lady Deadpool Statue!
Continue Reading →Ordinarily, we get to see several Marvel Select figures debut at a year’s New York Toy Fair. But with the embargo on talking about Avengers Infinity War toys still in effect, we got a singular new Marvel Select reveal at the 2018 Toy Fair. Luckily, it’s one fans have been requesting for years: the X-Men Marvel Select Beast figure is now up for order! And Hank McCoy isn’t alone in the new DST solicitations—a brand new Taco Truck Deadpool Marvel Gallery Statue is also on the way!
Continue Reading →UPDATE 2/2/2018: If you’re one of the many collectors who didn’t want the whole set of Deadpool Legends figures and just wanted to pick and choose your favorites, now you’ve got that option: individual figures of Marvel Legends Cable, Domino, X-23, X-Force Deadpool and the rest are now up for order!
Continue Reading →It’s been rather quiet lately on the Marvel Legends news front as we approach the 2018 Toy Fair in New York City, but Hasbro decided to kick off this week with some totally out-of-the-blue announcements that confirm the rumors: a Deadpool Legends Wave 2 series is coming our way in Fall 2018, including new 6” Marvel Legends Omega Red and Lady Deadpool figures and more!
Continue Reading →Although 2018 kicked off with the surprisingly outstanding Marvel Legends Black Panther series, it’s otherwise been a bit of a slow start for Marvel Legends 2018. We won’t see most of this year’s new figures revealed until New York Toy Fair 2018 next month, and we’re still waiting for the Lizard and Sasquatch series to go up for order domestically. But internationally, the Marvel Legends Deadpool series was just released this week—including a mass-release X-Force Deadpool Hasbro hasn’t officially announced yet!
Continue Reading →NECA had one of their biggest grand slams ever when they released their 18” Deadpool figure last winter. So much so, in fact, that after recently releasing an X-Force variant, they’re ready to complete the hat trick just one year after the original DP’s release! But this time out, the big attraction isn’t a different costume: the NECA Ultimate Deadpool 18” Figure is now up for order—and it comes with a veritable cornucopia of crazy accessories!
Continue Reading →It’s been all quiet on the Marvel Legends front lately while we wait for the first wave of 2018 to arrive at mass retail (the Marvel Legends Black Panther movie series!), but word broke today about a pair of exclusives coming our way in just a few months. Not only did we get our first look at the packaging for Rainbow Deadpool (Deadpool Corps) box set shown at SDCC 2017, but also the first-ever reveal of a comic-based… pink and black Black Panther figure?
Continue Reading →Tokyo Comic Con has traditionally not been a hotspot for Marvel toy news, but with more import Marvel figure lines being made right now than ever before, there were actually some pretty big reveals at this week’s Tokyo Comic Con 2017! Among them were the Bandai Samurai Deadpool figure that I suspected we’d be seeing soon after spotting the concept art at NYCC 2017, as well as something totally out of left field—MAFEX Gwenpool!
Continue Reading →Now that the flurry of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals have mostly come to an end (though there’s still a sweet 47% off sale for the 14.5” Marvel Legends Hulk going on), it’s time to stop looking at this year’s discounted items and start looking at upcoming 2018 Marvel toys again! And on that front, Funko made a pretty surprising announcement this week, when they announced a whole series of Marvel Contest of Champions POP Vinyls figures—including King Groot, Punisher 2099, Venompool and more!
Continue Reading →Hasbro played some surprise cards at San Diego Comic-Con 2017 when they revealed Marvel Legends figures of two rather obscure Deadpool variants: Symbiote Deadpool and Weapon X (Inverse) Deadpool!
As with all good things, we had to wait a bit, but these obscure Wade Wilson variants are now arriving exclusively at GameStop!
Continue Reading →While I posted tons of photos of the newly-revealed Marvel Legends figures from NYCC 2017 (including Gladiator/Multiple Man and Spider-Man Noir/Taskmaster/Prowler) during the con, one thing I didn’t post at the time was photos of the Marvel Legends 2018 figures that were previously announced. But as I close off my NYCC coverage, let’s take a hi-res look at some in-person photos of the 2018 Marvel Legends X-Men, Deadpool, Avengers, Spider-Man and 12” series…
Continue Reading →As anticipated, Bandai Tamashii Nations brought along their four previously-solicited Marvel Manga Realization Samurai figures to New York Comic Con 2017 (even the poor Samurai Spider-Man that’s 40% off online). What was not anticipated—at all—however, was that Bandai would be bringing “Approval Pending” designs of five more characters for the Manga Realization line: including Hulk, Wolverine, Deadpool and more!
