I kicked off my SDCC 2017 Exclusives reviews yesterday with my Marvel Legends Ulik review, but Hasbro wasn’t the only company with exclusive Marvel 6″ figures at San Diego Comic-Con! For those who haven’t heard, Hasbro is kicking off their very own convention this year year, which will features all of their major brands like Transformers, My Little Pony, Star Wars, and of course, Marvel: HasCon. As this is a first time event, I haven’t been too sure what to make of HasCon, but what with it being an hour from my home, I’ll definitely be there. And now we know someone else who’ll be there: Deadpool! A 6″ Marvel Legends X-Force Deadpool figure will be exclusively released first at HasCon 2017!

While the majority of the new 6″ Marvel Legends figures that Hasbro announced at SDCC 2017 were expected than unexpected, I don’t think anyone was expecting the three new sixth scale figures premiering at the event. Not only was a Jim Lee Wolverine 12″ figure shown off on display early on in the convention, but during the Hasbro Marvel panel, Marvel Legends 12″ X-Force Deadpool and Agent of Weapon X Deadpool figures were revealed!

The existence of a 2018 Marvel Legends Deadpool series wasn’t the best-kept secret ever (I guessed it over a year ago and then leaked lists all but confirmed it earlier this year), but at SDCC 2017, we finally got to see most of the figures that will make up the wave. And while the characters revealed may not have been unexpected, the new Marvel Legends X-23, Deathlok, Domino and more are good enough to knock our socks off anyway…

I’ve been speculating for well over a year now about the Marvel Legends Deadpool series that I was dead certain was being planned for early 2018 to coincide with the second Deadpool movie, so it was pretty gratifying this morning to finally get concrete confirmation from Hasbro that the rumors are true, and that such a series is officially coming in the winter! While we only got to see about half the lineup so far, it’s a good one, with all-new classic Marvel Legends Domino, Cable and Deadpool figures! Oh, and Black Widow fans…? Hasbro has you covered too!

Mezco Toyz has been spacing out the announcements of their San Diego Comic Con 2017 exclusives over the past several weeks, and while I was love Thundercats as much as the next guy (okay, probably more than most next guys), it’s the SDCC ONE:12 Collective Marvel exclusive I’ve been really waiting to see. While I thought that the Hasbro Marvel Legends 12″ Spider-Man, Captain America and Iron Man figures last year were all excellent toys at a solid price, their retail sales didn’t exactly set the world on fire. I had high hopes that this year’s 12″ Deadpool Marvel Legends figure would be a huge hit in stores and revitalize the line’s health, but it doesn’t look like that’s the case–the Deadpool 12″ figure is already appearing on clearance at Target stores…

And while Square-Enix uses 100% unique tooling for every individual character they make, even the Play Arts Kai line isn’t immune to “Special Color Versions”!
