Earlier this week, I had the tremendous honor and privilege of being one of the first collectors in the world to see a half-dozen of next year’s 6″ Marvel Legends 2017 figures at the pre-New York Comic Con 2016 Hasbro party (and yes, it was every bit as cool as it sounds). Although there weren’t any new Marvel Select figures on display at NYCC 2016, that doesn’t mean that Diamond Select Toys didn’t bring some new Marvel toys to get excited about! In fact, two upcoming waves of Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Animated Minimates figures were on-hand with some characters that I think a lot of fans are going to be pretty stoked about, including modern Scarlet Spider, Anti-Venom, Speed Demon… and the first-ever Minimates Squirrel Girl figure!

There was so much going on at New York Comic-Con 2016 yesterday that I almost managed to totally miss the two biggest (literally) Marvel reveals at the Sideshow Collectibles booth.
Luckily, obsessive-compulsion won out and I circled back to the booth to snap a multitude of hi-res photos of what are sure to be best-sellers: the Sideshow Venom and Carnage Premium Format Figure statues!

Unlike past years, Kotobukiya didn’t bring any never-before-seen Marvel statues prototypes to New York Comic Con 2016 this week.
But while we didnt get to see anything totally unannounced at NYCC 2016, we did get to see several updated sculptures in person for the very first time at the event–including the Bishoujo Squirrel Girl and painted versions of the Super Deadpool ARTFX and Vision Fine Arts statues!

I probably sound a little bit smug regarding being unsurprised by the four figures I already posted about earlier tonight that Hasbro revealed at their pre-NYCC 2016 event tonight. But I have to admit, I definitely didn’t predict every figure Hasbro was going to unveil at New York Comic-Con. In fact, I’m ashamed to say I didn’t recognize one of the characters at all–the 2017 Marvel Legends Adam Warlock & Death’s Head II figures debuted tonight at NYCC 2016!

Alright, ‘fess up! Try as they might, Hasbro wasn’t able to keep the lid kept quite shut enough prior to SDCC 2016, and the lineup for the Marvel Legends 2017 X-Men wave ended up leaking out. So most of us knew the wave in advance of its announcement. But there were two figures on the leaked list who were absent at San Diego Comic-Con and still unconfirmed… until tonight! At the NYCC 2016 event tonight, Hasbro officially revealed the 2017 Marvel Legends Old Man Logan and Shatterstar figures!

Earlier this week, Mezco Toyz posted the teaser image of their first-ever New York Comic Con exclusive Marvel ONE:12 Collective figure, and today they’ve dropped the whole motherlode of official photos and details regarding the action figure. I wasn’t totally convinced which version of Matt Murdock this was before, but there’s no question now–the ONE:12 Collective NYCC 2016 Shadowland Daredevil figure has now been fully revealed!
