It’s been a pretty slow Marvel toy news week (you know things are bad when I have to make posts about figures being on sale), but we did get at least one bite of appetitizing news–from across the world at the Tokyo Game Show 2016 (TGS), no less! When we last saw the Square-Enix Play Arts Kai Marvel line at SDCC 2016, there were two new unpainted figures on display. And this week in Tokyo, we got to see one of them painted: Play Arts Kai Wolverine!

Sideshow Collectibles didn’t unveil the plethora of new Marvel pieces at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 that they usually do, but the ones that they did show were some of the most jaw-dropping, gorgeous statues at the event. And one of those pieces was among the most impressive Wolverine (and Hulk!) statues that I’ve ever seen. I’ve been looking forward to it since July, but the day has arrived–the Sideshow Exclusive Hulk vs. Wolverine Maquette is now up for order! But all this magnificence comes at a monstrous price…

Hasbro announced a multitude of new 3.75″ Marvel Legends 2017 figures at SDCC 2016, and has sent out hi-res photos of the first wave, including X-23 Wolverine, Moon Knight, Maestro and more!

Hasbro is still keeping the bulk of their major Marvel Legends announcements under wraps until the SDCC Hasbro Marvel panel, but they’ve still shown off a healthy number of upcoming, never-before-seen figures during the first day of the convention as well. Among these showings are eleven new Marvel Legends 4″ figures, which happen to include a despot Hulk, a living tree, an anthropomorphic raccoon and yes–even the world’s best squirrel mercenary, Squirrel Pool!
Continue Reading →Given the rampant bootlegging that went on with the Square-Enix Play Arts Kai Marvel figures line and the fact that a new (non-repaint) figure hasn’t been announced for the line in over a year now, I really thought the Play Arts Kai Marvel Variant line was done for. But things are not always as they appear, and Square-Enix in fact brought along two major all-new figures to show off at San Diego Comic-Con 2016: Play Arts Kai Deadpool and Wolverine!
Continue Reading →Even though cases of this summer’s Hasbro Marvel Legends X-Men Series of 6″ figures went up for order a couple weeks ago containing all eight figures in the wave and no duplicates, some collectors only want to pick-and-choose some of their favorite X-Men without having to buy a whole case. As such, folks have been asking me pretty much every single day when Amazon would be listing these figures for individual purchase. Well, I finally have the answer so many of you have been waiting for: the X-Men Legends 6″ Series is now up for order on Amazon with free shipping!
Continue Reading →Yesterday, the most-anticipated wave of Marvel Legends that I can remember ever went up for order: the set of 8 Marvel Legends X-Men Series figures with Juggernaut Build-A-Figure! At the time, Hasbro still hadn’t released clear images of most of the figures in the series. But this afternoon, the hi-res photos of Marvel Legend Deadpool, Phoenix, Rogue, Cable and more finally appeared! And I gotta say: these figures look good…
Continue Reading →Heads up, true believers! Hasbro has been teasing us about it for over half a year, but the time has finally arrived for the most talked-about Marvel Legends wave in years: the Marvel Legends X-Men Juggernaut Series is now up for order!
With one of each of eight new 6″ figures and an impressive Juggernaut Build-A-Figure in every case, this hands-down may be the best case of Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ figures ever released!
Continue Reading →I thought it was safe to go out to lunch for an hour today, secure in the assumption that there probably wouldn’t be any important Marvel toy news while I was out in the middle of the day. But you know what they say about “assumptions”, and that proved true again today! This afternoon, Hasbro dropped a bombshell by revealing not only the eighth and final figure in the 2016 Marvel Legends X-Men Series–Wolverine–but they also officially confirmed the long-rumored build-a-figure: Juggernaut!

Barely over a year later, and that’s a complaint of the past! Not only did Koto have the entire range of ARTFX+ X-Men statues on display at New York Toy Fair 2016, but with this week’s pre-order, the cycle–and the team–are complete: the Kotobukiya Wolverine ARTFX+ statue is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Well, we knew this day would come, and it finally has. After debuting their first three Marvel 1/6th scale figures in July 2014, finally–finally–all three Sideshow Marvel Comics sixth scale figures will have gone up for order as of today.
Deadpool arrived in the fall and Punisher was solicited back in October–and now, the circle is complete! The homicidal-looking Berserker Rage-enthralled Sideshow Exclusive Wolverine Sixth Scale figure is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Without a doubt, one of the most out-of-nowhere Marvel collectibles of 2015 was the new Sideshow Wolverine Premium Format Figure, which popped up for sale in June after absolutely no previews or even rumors from Sideshow Collectibles.
But let’s face it, Logan’s a fighter, and he wouldn’t be happy without a mortal enemy to brawl with. And luckily, just such an adversary is on the way: the Sideshow Exclusive Sabertooth Premium Format Statue is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Once upon a time, Diamond Select Toys had its own line of high-end Marvel statues. The Marvel Premier Collection was a modest little line and not a statue-producing juggernaut like Bowen Designs, but DST produced some quality pieces in the line that are still desirable today.
And now, the Diamond Select Toys Marvel Premier Collection will live again–the Wolverine in Snow statue is now available for order!
Continue Reading →We’re a scant two weeks away from San Diego Comic-Con 2015, which means that the most exciting part of the year for Sideshow Collectibles collectors has arrived! Things have been mostly quiet on the Sideshow Premium Format Figure front for the past few months, but it looks like business is picking up once again–and with a character choice that is probably going to surprise a lot of people: the Sideshow Exclusive Brown Costume Wolverine Premium Format Figure Statue is now up for order!
Continue Reading →With Bowen Designs still on hiatus until further notice (if not forever), sixth scale Marvel statue collectors are suffering from some serious withdrawal. With quarter-scale statues being all the rage these days, collectors with limited space–or who just plain prefer something smaller–have had to turn to the only other company producing Marvel 1/6 statues: Kotobukiya. And after a long wait, the first 1/6 Kotobukiya Marvel statue of 2015 has arrived: the Danger Room Sessions Brown Costume Wolverine statue!
