Marvel Funko Logan POP! Vinyl Factory Error - Not A Bobble Head

When the new Marvel Funko Logan POP! Vinyl started hitting stores a few weeks ago, it quickly became apparent that Logan was a little bit different from all of his Funko Marvel POP! Vinyl brethren released the last few years. No, the big controversy isn’t that Funko made Logan’s hair way too brown (even though they did)–it’s the fact that this Logan Funko POP! Vinyl Bobble Head isn’t a Bobble Head at all…!

As I’ve said before, I’m not the biggest Funko Marvel POP! Vinyl fan, so I didn’t pick up Logan when I saw him at my local comic book store last week. If I had, I would have discovered what lots of other collectors already have–that the Logan Vinyl Bobble-Head figure was accidentally manufactured by the factory as a vinyl figure instead of a Bobble-Head. This is obviously a pretty glaring error, as Funko produced their POP! Marvel line as Bobble Heads because they don’t actually hold the Marvel license to produce regular vinyl figures at all.

Funko has now confirmed via their Facebook page that the Logan Vinyl (Not A) Bobble-Head was a factory error and that no more of the figure will be produced in this form. All future runs of the Logan POP! Vinyl will be produced correctly as Vinyl Bobble Figures and not plain old vinyl figures. Personally, I would have preferred that Funko could make the switch fully to just making all of their Marvel vinyls figures instead of Bobble Heads (I hate Bobbleheads), but that’s just not an option at this point (as Funko doesn’t have the license to produce non-bobble Marvel vinyl figures).

As there’s only going to be one error manufacturing run on this Logan vinyl–and the figure is certainly the biggest mishap ever in the Funko Marvel Vinyl line, it’s almost certain Logan will at least go up in value a little bit, if not a lot.
