Square-Enix caught me off-guard at New York Toy Fair 2017 when they revealed two new unpainted prototypes from a figure line I legit thought was dead: the Marvel Play Arts Kai Variant series! At this point in my collecting life, I thought that I already had just about every Iron Man figure repaint that I’ll ever need (though I will most certainly find space for more Hot Toys Iron Man House Party Protocol armors, should Hot Toys ever get around to releasing them). Marvel eFX Collectibles can be a tough line to collect. No, not because they aren’t top-notch–eFX inarguably makes the nicest Marvel prop replica collectibles in the land. Kaiyodo has been producing Revoltech figures for many years now, and produced many movie Iron Man figures in that time. But last year they entered the Marvel Comics market with their ultra-fun Ame-Comic Revoltech Deadpool, Spider-Man and Venom figures.
