Marvel Hot Toys figure news has slowed down to a trickle as we wait with bated breath and anticipation for next month’s San Diego Comic-Con 2013! But while new figure reveals and announcements are in a lull for the moment, all isn’t completely quiet on the Hot Toys front. This week two things of note occurred: the long-anticipated Hot Toys Loki figure sold out completely at the distributor level, while customers who pre-ordered received notice that their Hot Toys Agent Coulson figure will be shipping very soon…
If you live in the U.S. and you want the Loki Hot Toys figure, you’re going to have to get it now through the supplies remaining at secondary retailers like BigBadToyStore who purchased their Loki allotment from Sideshow before it sold out (although as of writing, BBTS has less than two dozen Loki figures remaining themselves). Once online stores run out of Loki, he will be completely gone except for on the aftermarket, and your other alternative will be to try to hunt for Hot Toys Loki on ebay, though bidding wars over the Trickster God are already starting to get pretty ferocious.
Meanwhile, as one Hot Toys Avengers sixth-scale figure has left the building, another is about to enter! Customers who pre-ordered their Avengers Hot Toys Agent Phil Coulson figures from Sideshow have now begun receiving notification E-Mails that he will be in-stock at the warehouse and shipping out around Thursday, May 20, 2013–less than two weeks from today! Pre-Orders for the Avengers Hot Toys Agent Phil Coulson 1/6 scale figure are still available at Sideshow.
Clark Gregg, who plays Agent Phil Coulson in the Marvel Phase One movies and the upcoming “Agents of SHIELD” TV series, has already received his Agent Coulson Hot Toys figure–and boy, does he seem happy with his first ever action figure of himself! Man, I love that guy!
My Agent Coulson Hot Toys Avengers figure should arrive in about three weeks, and I’ll post an unboxing gallery of photos and a full review when my favorite character from the Avengers movie arrives!
