Daredevil did what once seemed impossible this week by returning to screens with an all-new series, seven years after the end of the original Netflix show. Charlie Cox is back as the man without fear, and now, ol’ hornhead’s merch is back as well! After just being revealed as a render yesterday, a new Hasbro Marvel Legends Daredevil Born Again figure is now up for order!

Obviously we only have the non-physical renders to go by for the moment, but even these early previews show a noticeable jump from the last MCU Daredevil Legends figure to this one.
At a glance, the biggest improvement here is the proportions. While the proportions looked passable on the Netflix Daredevil ML figure over half a decade ago, they look quite out of place and unrealistic in a modern lineup. The proportions on this new release are a clear step forward.
While it’s the costume design and not Hasbro’s innovation, I do like how much more red this new figure appears. It feels more like Daredevil to me than the old costume did.
I also think there’s a humongous leap in the likeness department, with the Charlie Cox resemblance on the unmasked part of the portrait being head and shoulders above Hasbro’s previous efforts.
I think gripes about the ‘DD’ not being on the action figure’s chest are highly unfair, as Hasbro has to work with the actual references to the suit that they’re given and not just make stuff up.
While they’re not immediately obvious, Born Again Daredevil does have the popular butterfly swivel shoulders that fans have come to love—they’re just better-hidden than usual, in the style of last year’s Wolverine movie figure.
That said, there is one complaint I have about this figure, and it’s about the accessories. Yes, getting an extra pair of hands is appreciated—but I do not like that Hasbro is seemingly developing a habit of those hands being mismatched. Just one fist and one open hand for Daredevil to pose with? Really, Hasbro? Daredevil having only one fist is so strange and lame–this weird practice has got to stop.
I do like the removable “wire” to connect the two billy clubs, though. A worthwhile addition that adds a lot of flair.
The Marvel Legends Daredevil Born Again figure is now up for pre-order. Hasbro hasn’t stated officially as of writing the exact specifics of this Daredevil figure’s release beyond that it’s coming toward the end of the year, but my educated guess is that it’s part of a new Disney+ Legends wave that we’ll see added to as the year goes on.
What do you think of this updated Daredevil, Marvel collectors? Will you upgrading your MCU shelf with it?
