Ever since word leaked out that all three iconic Spider-Man actors would be appearing in last year’s Spider-Man No Way Home movie, collectors have been waiting with bated breath for modern Marvel Legends figures of the movie Spidey trio. And today’s finally the day fans can lock in their own Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland 3-Pack: the Marvel Legends No Way Home Spider-Man 3-Pack is up for pre-order today!
Fans cried from the heavens that they wanted the Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man trio of Peter Parkers as modern Marvel Legends 6” figures, and after officially announcing such toys were on the way in the spring, Hasbro is finally ready to show off colored digital renders of the 3-pack set and start taking pre-orders for it this afternoon.
Brace yourself for some sticker shock, though—this 3-pack boasts a massive $89.99 MSRP! That seems shockingly high, but Hasbro has cited that these figures have twice the paint deco we normally see. Plus, Andrew and Tobey are 100% new sculpts, so I can sort of see the logistics of the asking price—even if it is about 30 bucks more than I’d ideally want to pay.
The Tom Holland Spider-Man Legends figure is a repaint of the 2021 Integrated Suit version, which was a nice pin-less figure to begin with, but now with all of the “web lines” on the costume fully painted black. This “premium deco” comes at a high price, but there’s no question it enhances the appearance of the figure. Tom ( and both other Peters) will have fists, wall-crawling hands and web-shooting hands for maximal posing possibilities.
Meanwhile, the Amazing Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) 6” figures are both fully new pin-less sculpts. They’re scaled properly to the movie, so Andrew will be ever-so-slightly the tallest of the three. Sculpted raised webbing is being utilized to make the figures really pop and look authentic (as they ought to in a 90 dollar set).
The official solicitation writeup says that the set will include “15 accessories”, which includes 12 extra hands (4 for each Spidey) and 3 web strands so every Spider-Man can have one to swing around on. Sorry—no unmasked Peter Parker heads this time! I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see eventual individual releases including actor portraits down the road, so don’t lose hope just yet (although there does appear to be a potential likeness issue with Andrew Garfield approving new likenesses).
Hasbro was quick to note that they’re just getting started with characters from Spider-Man No Way Home, so I think there’s little doubt we’ll be seeing Green Goblin, Doc Ock and more… eventually.
The No Way Home Marvel Legends Spider-Man 3 Pack is now available for pre-order, although Hasbro hasn’t confirmed a hard target release date yet (which may be for the best, as their estimates have been wildly off for many releases this year, due to all the supply chain issues occurring worldwide). The present estimate is August 2023, but I anticipate that date being moved forward radically. The box packaging also isn’t ready to be shown off at this time.
There you have it, Spidey fans! Will this long-awaited three-pack be earning your $89.99, or has Hasbro failed to secure a sale to you with this premium box set?
I would have said yes to this, but not for that price. That is a lot more than I was anticipating for a 3-pack with minimal accessories—extra hands and web strands don’t really do it for me. If that price drops significantly, I’m all over it. Until then…
Oof, that price hurts…and no unmasked heads? I was really looking forward to these, but I dunno now…
I’m writing a reply here because idk where else to write a comment but I live in Australia and when I saw this I lost my mind about how good they all look and obviously wanted to pre-order even tho the price is a bit high but I don’t live in Germany or USA. Will Australia get a pre-order soon or do we have to wait for (Hasbro Pulse) to release first?
That’s priced way outta my range. They will definitly release them later with the heads to fleece everyone even that much more. Hard pass on this.
