REVIEW: Marvel Legends ADAM WARLOCK Figure (2025 Hasbro)

Adam Warlock got a major elevation to temporary near-iconic status in the 1990s when he turned out to be the primary universe-saving hero in the now-legendary “The Infinity Gauntlet” series. His star fizzled quickly in the following years, and Adam Warlock has never reached that high level of significance again. But Hasbro is letting Him revisit his greatest moment with the just-released 2025 Marvel Legends Adam Warlock 6” figure. Is Adam Warlock’s return to the spotlight a successful one? Here’s my review…

Marvel Legends 2025 Adam Warlock Figure Review

90s Adam Warlock first appeared in Hasbro’s 2007 Red Hulk Series of Target Exclusive Marvel Legends, but that action figure has always been a bit scarce and has also become somewhat outdated over the past 18 years.

And so, Hasbro made what I think is a smart choice in choosing the primary hero of one of the most well-known storylines of all time for a series where he could be packed with a mini faux-comic of the iconic 1st cover of said series.

2025 Marvel Legends Mini Comics Series Infinity Gauntlet Adam Warlock Figure REVIEW

Let me just address the mini-elephant in the room first: I think the Marvel Legends “Mini Comics” series is a super lame idea, and I’d rather have straight repacks of random pieces from previously released Build-A-Figures than little plastic rectangles with cover art printed on them.

The little mini comic accessories feel cheap and honestly a bit insulting to me. I think they could have been “okay” if the figures each came with a little Build-A-Spinner-Rack diorama piece, but in a vacuum this concept feels stupid. I bought four releases in this wave for the action figures themselves, and that’s what I’ll be reviewing. End rant.

For the quite-pricy $25-$27 MSRP on the characters in this wave, I set my expectations high. Luckily, this new Infinity Gauntlet Adam Warlock Legends figure is quite good. But is he $25-$27 good? That’s a really tough call to make, but I’m leaning towards answering that question affirmatively.

The singular biggest upgrade Hasbro needed to make over the 2007 original release (shown above) was updating the articulation to modern standards, and Hasbro has done so beautifully here. The figure is fully pin-less, and incorporates butterfly shoulder swivels on top of all of the other articulation points that have come customary for the line:

For a character like Adam Warlock who demonstrates few extreme poses in the comics, this level of articulation is superb and more than what’s necessary. The joints all feel the right level of tightness and move smoothly.

Besides the articulation upgrades, there are several other notable changes from the 2007 Target exclusive version. One is the head sculpt, which is easily the most expressive Adam Warlock portrait we’ve ever seen.

Adam Warlock Let the Conflict End Infinity Gauntlet

The aggro-looking teeth-gritted head appears to be largely inspired by the iconic “Let the conflict end!” panel in The Infinity Gauntlet’s climax. It’s something we’ve never seen before for this character in toy form, and I dig it. Even so, an interchangeable “stoic” interchangeable head would have been a very welcome inclusion, since that’s how Adam emotes 99% of the time.

Along with the new style of portrait, another thing the 2007 Marvel Legends Adam Warlock lacked was any alternate hands. But unlike that release, the 2025 iteration has three extra hands, including fists and a gripping left hand—all of which Gauntlet-less. The Gauntlet is iconic and all, but it’s very nice to have display options.

Speaking of the Infinity Gauntlet—it’s made of two pieces (a fist and a forearm overlay piece) and can be removed seamlessly to make a “standard” Adam Warlock. It looks really snazzy when Adam is wearing it, and is necessary to recreate the moment the head sculpt is capturing. Nice work.2025 Marvel Legends Adam Warlock ReviewAdam’s bird-headed staff fits nicely into his gripping hands, as does the [silly] Infinity Gauntlet “mini comic”. The paint deco is solid all-around, with the skull clasp on the red and yellow cape looking good. There’s not a ton of paint on Adam’s body, but the musculature and proportions look spot-on to me.

Overall: This is a really fantastic Adam Warlock figure that I wish was coming for a few dollars cheaper. The tooling, accessories and articulation are all tops, and I appreciate the unique expressioned portrait. This figure captures a memorable moment in time perfectly. Even so, I think the price-tag could have still allowed for a more stoic extra head, especially given the lack of a Build-A-Figure piece. Still the definitive ML Adam Warlock figure—just a couple bucks more than I would have preferred.
