Yesterday I discussed the two recently-released Hasbro Titan Hero Ultron figures, but those aren’t the only new killer robots on the block! Hasbro has surprised us with another antagonistic android action figure, and this one is a Target exclusive: it’s the Marvel Super Hero Mashers Avengers Age of Ultron three-pack with Ultron, Hulk and Black Costume Captain America figures!

Although Hasbro revealed a whole series of Avengers Age of Ultron Marvel Super Hero Mashers figures back during the winter–including Ultron and Vision Mashers–that series hasn’t materialized in stores just yet.

But just in time for the impending release of the second Avengers movie in theaters, Hasbro Marvel Masher collectors won’t have to wait any longer to add the Ultron Masher to their collection, because he’s now arrived in an unannounced, exclusive three-pack!

The main event in this set is–of course–the first release of an Ultron Super Hero Masher figure. While there is an Age of Ultron-inspired Ultron figure scheduled to come out as part of the Avengers: Age of Ultron promotional push, the exclusive Ultron Mashers figure in this three-pack is much more classic and comic-inspired than the movie Ultron being released individually.

Maybe the movie Ultron design will be my all-time favorite after I see Avengers 2 in theaters, but for now I much prefer this all-silver Ultron Masher with classic head to the one coming out later this spring.

And yes, this set will also give collectors feature that they have been demanding: the ability to stick Ultron’s head on the Hulk’s body! “ULTRON SMASH!!!”

Perhaps even cooler than Ultron, however, is a Black Costume Captain America Mashers figure! This is a slick-looking Cap that isn’t scheduled to be released at all outside of this 3-pack, making this set a bit more tantalizing for folks who were debating getting Ultron here or in his upcoming solo release.

Unless U.S. Agent appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point (and I do not think that that is in the cards), then this is probably the closest that we’re ever going to get to a Marvel Mashers US Agent figure. Poor US Agent!

Rounding out the set is (yet) another green Hulk Mashers action figure. We’ve had quite a few Mashers Hulks at this point, so it’s a bit tough to get excited about this one, even if his “cybernetic” arms and legs make him rather different visual from past incarnations.

I’m sure kids and new collectors won’t mind the inclusion of green Hulk with purple shorts here, though–especially since Hulk is typically reserved for the deluxe range of Marvel Masher figures. The metallic green hands and legs for the Hulk action figure are a pretty crazy-looking choice, though!

The Marvel Super Hero Mashers Target Exclusive three-pack is now showing up in stores for $29.99, and is being placed on special Avengers AOU endcap displays in most stores. As this set is a Target exclusive item, I’d assume it will eventually hit clearance, so if you want it for cheaper, check back in a few months.
