I probably sound a little bit smug regarding being unsurprised by the four figures I already posted about earlier tonight that Hasbro revealed at their pre-NYCC 2016 event tonight. But I have to admit, I definitely didn’t predict every figure Hasbro was going to unveil at New York Comic-Con. In fact, I’m ashamed to say I didn’t recognize one of the characters at all–the 2017 Marvel Legends Adam Warlock & Death’s Head II figures debuted tonight at NYCC 2016!

When Bandai Tamashii Nations solicited their first Manga Realization figure in the spring–SH Figuarts Samurai Spider-Man–I was pretty lukewarm on that figure. “Spidey in samurai armor? That doesn’t make any sense! Why didn’t they just make Iron Man?!”
Well, lo and behold, for their second figure in the series, Bandai has: the S.H. Figuarts Samurai Iron Man Manga Realization figure has now been revealed!

It’s been a pretty slow Marvel toy news week (you know things are bad when I have to make posts about figures being on sale), but we did get at least one bite of appetitizing news–from across the world at the Tokyo Game Show 2016 (TGS), no less! I slowly murdered the battery on my iPhone for two years playing the Disney Tsum Tsum game, and now my poor phone battery is cowering in terror after the Marvel Tsum Tsum game released in the United States last week! Among the best news of the year for Marvel collectors was that Mezco Toyz had obtained the Marvel license to make mixed-media Marvel six inch figures! Mezco debuted nine figures in their pre-Toy Fair buildup, and eight of those figures have been up for order for a while. So it comes as no surprise that they were saving the final figure in the initial lineup as a NYCC 2016 Exclusive–ONE:12 Collective Black Daredevil!

Many collectors just couldn’t get past the duck feet and weird designs choices made for several of the characters thus far. Well, I honestly didn’t think it was going to happen, but it has: Bandai Japan is about to release the sixth and final member of the core six Avengers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in S.H. Figuarts form!
