To the dismay of everyone, the street/release date on the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 figures has been pushed back until March 2017, with the new target month reflected on virtually every retailer website. Earlier today I discussed the nine new figures that will make up the first wave of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Funko POP Vinyls at mass retail, but as usual, Funko’s got a cavalcade of exclusives coming for us as well! Last year, The LEGO Group (TLG) burst onto the scene with the inaugural series of bizarre LEGO Marvel Mighty Micros sets featuring superheroes and villains battling it out… in race cars. Most of us crusty old folks agreed that the ludicrous line was destined to be a spectacular failure, crashing and burning as quickly as it came. So of course the line turned out to be a huge success, containing some of the best-selling LEGO Marvel sets ever.
