While the majority of the items that Hasbro brought along to officially reveal at San Diego Comic-Con 2017 were unofficially known already due to a widely-circulated leaked list, Hasbro still had some surprises to knock our socks off with. And the two that really threw me for a loop are (of course) store exclusives: the Marvel Legends Defenders box set and Marvel Legends Hydra Troopers army-builder two-pack!

Either the excitement of the Hasbro SDCC 2017 panel was just too much for me or I’m just old (hint: it’s the latter), because I plum fell asleep while in the process of doing the write-ups with the Marvel Legends hi-res photos. But I’m awake again, so let’s kick off the final day of Comic-Con with a look at the first two figures from the 2018 Marvel Legends Black Panther movie series: Black Bolt and Namor!

And while we’re still waiting for the Human Torch to flame into stores and join his sister, we now officially know the next two entries in the line that will be following Johnny Storm: Marvel Legends Mr. Fantastic and… Medusa?!

I’ll write up comprehensive listings with details and hi-res images of all these figures as I have the time and official images become available, but for now, here’s a short roundup and recap of all the SDCC 2017 Hasbro Marvel panel reveals…

Hasbro’s GOTG 2 series is perhaps their finest lineup of movie 6″ figures ever, but there was one gaping, planet-sized hole that collectors desperately needed to complete that set. And now, he has arrived: the Marvel Legends Ego & Star-Lord two-pack is now shipping from EE! Is it worth buying this pack just for Ego? Read on…
Continue Reading →With the all-important Hasbro Marvel panel happening just a few hours from now, I would have totally understood if Hasbro has decided to just not add any new reveals at all to their San Diego Comic Con booth display up until they drop the mega-ton later today. And for the most part, there’s not a whole lot that’s all-new in the booth today–with one key exception! We can add one more to the list of confirmed characters in the Marvel Legends Vintage Series, as the 6″ Vintage Iron Man has now been revealed!
UPDATE: And now Tony Stark has some company in the display case–the Marvel Legends Lasher figure has been added!
Continue Reading →Just when I thought that Hasbro was done for the day, they busted out another quartet of previews for upcoming 2018 Marvel Legends figures! Not only did Hasbro decide to show off the hotly-anticipated Marvel Legends Ghost Rider and motorcycle set this afternoon, but they also gave us our first SDCC 2017 tastes of new waves of Avengers and Spider-Man Marvel Legends figures with Gwenpool, Songbird and Spider-Punk!
Continue Reading →If there’s one company that knows how to keep collectors coming back each day of San Diego Comic-Con 2017, it’s Hasbro! Even though the Hasbro Marvel panel won’t be until Saturday evening, Hasbro has been strategically adding new items to the display in their booth each day of SDCC 2017. And the Friday of SDCC 2017 has brought us a trio of new treats: a Marvel Legends 12″ Wolverine, a Marvel Legends Vintage Punisher 6″ figure, and even a crazy symbiote head for Venom Deadpool!
Continue Reading →I’ve been speculating for well over a year now about the Marvel Legends Deadpool series that I was dead certain was being planned for early 2018 to coincide with the second Deadpool movie, so it was pretty gratifying this morning to finally get concrete confirmation from Hasbro that the rumors are true, and that such a series is officially coming in the winter! While we only got to see about half the lineup so far, it’s a good one, with all-new classic Marvel Legends Domino, Cable and Deadpool figures! Oh, and Black Widow fans…? Hasbro has you covered too!
Continue Reading →Just like I wasn’t expecting to see a number of Marvel statue reveals at Star Wars Celebration Orlando, I really didn’t think we’d see anything new debut at D23 Expo 2017. But for the first time ever, Hasbro premiered a new Marvel Legends figure at D23 over the weekend–and it’s actually the very first Marvel Legends 2018 figure of any kind to be revealed! Coming our way in spring 2018: the Marvel Legends 12″ Black Panther figure in movie costume!
Continue Reading →UPDATE 7/10/2017: We’ve been hearing about an August 1st order date for the Marvel Legends Netflix Series since last month, but it looks like that’s no longer true! Cases of the Marvel Knights Legends Man-Thing Series are now up for order online, with the case assortment confirmed that I reported in this article over the weekend!
Continue Reading →As soon as we got into the spring without any details surrounding the impending release of the Toys R Us Exclusive A-Force box set that was announced at New York Toy Fair 2017 and popped up on ebay a few months ago, I was dead certain that Toys R Us was holding onto the set to use as one of their annual “San Diego Comic Con Exclusives”. And lo and behold, we finally got verification this morning: the SDCC 2017 Exclusive Marvel Legends A-Force box set is now confirmed!
Continue Reading →It’s a national holiday today in the United States, and that means no new product reveals or pre-orders–and the perfect time for a new figure review! To my embarrassment, there’s 1.5 members of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 team that I still haven’t taken a look at the new Marvel Legends for yet, so today’s a good day to fill that void! They’re finally steadily available online for below retail price–it’s Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends Rocket Raccoon & Groot!
Continue Reading →The once-mighty Hasbro Marvel Universe 3.75″ figures line (now under the “Marvel Legends” banner) has fallen on some tough times, with what feels like less and less figures hitting each year. But while output may have slowed, the party isn’t over yet! The latest series of Marvel Legends 4″ figures is now up for order, and is composed of figures revealed a full year at SDCC 2016 including Jewel, Age of Apocalypse Magneto and more!
