Marvel Legends Crossbones & Madame Masque Amazon Exclusive Pre-Order!

Crossbones and Madame Masque have had Hasbro Marvel Legends figures before, but both villains had some room for improvement. Is this Amazon Exclusive set a big enough upgrade to warrant *your* dollars, Marvel collectors? Here’s my take on Hasbro’s latest six inch Marvel offering, the Marvel Legends Madame Masque/Crossbones set that went up for pre-order today!

At this point, Hasbro has produced their renditions of nearly every notable Marvel villain in 6” Marvel Legends form—several times in some cases. Crossbones has hade two previous comics-based ML figures (plus a movie version), while Madame Masque only previously appeared in the Arnim Zola series over a decade (and several Arnim Zolas) ago.

Hasbro debuted the Villains sub-line of Marvel Legends action figures with the 2021 Xenmu wave, and is bringing it back here along with new versions of the aforementioned B-Listers. But is this Amazon Exclusive Villains set any good?

Amazon Exclusive Marvel Legends Madame Masque FigureUpon inspection, I think that this two-pack is a decent, but not outstanding, release. Upgrades of previously mass -released characters make for great exclusives, and I’m glad Amazon is getting this Villains pack instead of more sought-after, never-done-before characters that shouldn’t be limited or hard to obtain. At $49.99 for two modern figures and a ton of accessories, this set is a solid value for two villains newer collectors (or those just wanting improved versions) will be seeking out for their displays.

2025 Marvel Legends Crossbones Exclusive Figure

Unfortunately, neither Crossbones nor Madame Masque is getting much in the way of new tooling here. Crossbones is primarily built on the 2019 Hercules body (with ugly pinned knees), but with modern Luke Cage pin-less arms. I really hate mishmash releases that still have some pins in this day and age. I do love the Ed Brubaker era design this seems inspired by, though.

Meanwhile, Madame Masque is largely on the 2022 Shriek body, with what I think is the Maria Hill chest. Madame Masque looks pretty great, though her being paired with a largely unrelated character in Crossbones feels awkward.

This two pack includes a copious amount of accessories, including a half-masked head for Madame Masque (that I think may work swell for Destiny), two pistols for Masque, pistol firing and smoke effects, the small explosions effects piece (for what, I do not know), an AIM briefcase, a ton of money to insert in the briefcase, an alternate pair of hands for each figure, and 3 guns plus a knife for Crossbones. This is a pretty crazy spread compared to what we’re used to!

For the price, this feels like a really loaded set. Ordinarily it might be safe to wait for a discount on an Amazon Exclusives Marvel Legends 2-Pack, but after the quick sellout of the Cabal 3-pack that seems more uncertain.

The Amazon Exclusive Marvel Legends Villains Crossbones & Madame Masque two-pack went up for order today, and is due to arrive in August. I’ve heard more buzz about this pair than I expected, so I’m eager to hear your thoughts on this set, Marvel collectors. Are *you* picking up this two-pack? Why or why not?
