Most of my attention this week has been focused squarely on topics such as the 2015 Marvel Legends figures and the quickly-exploding assortment of toys and collectibles based on this year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. But now it’s time to step back and chat about a toy line that’s just a notch (or two) below Marvel Legends and Age of Ultron on the popularity scale: Marvel Super Hero Mashers! While we wait for the rest of the Hasbro 2015 Marvel figures to arrive, three new Mashers have already snuck up for sale online: Marvel Mashers Agent Venom, Hobgoblin and A-Bomb!
Marvel Mashers figures were a surprise hit at retail for Hasbro in 2014, and in 2015 the lineup is expanding further with popular classic and modern characters. The first Marvel Masher series of the year– Marvel Mashers Wave 6–contains three all-new figures: Marvel Mashers A-Bomb, Hobgoblin and Agent Venom.
The Marvel Super Hero Mashers Wave 6 case ratios are as follows:
- (2) Marvel Mashers Spider-Man Figure
- (1) Marvel Mashers Logan Wolverine Figure
- (1) Marvel Mashers Skaar Figure
- (1) Marvel Mashers Iron Man Figure
- (1) Marvel Mashers A-Bomb Figure
- (1) Marvel Mashers Hobgoblin Figure
- (1) Marvel Mashers Agent Venom Figure
Following the massive amount of success surrounding last year’s Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Legends Agent Venom figure, it shouldn’t stun anyone to see Agent Venom make his debut in Marvel Super Hero Masher figure form. In fact, the paint apps on this Mashers Agent Venom figure look much cleaner and better-executed than those of his Marvel Legends figure!
I believe A-Bomb is the very first Marvel Superhero Mashers figure released without a Marvel Legends coutnerpart, so this A-Bomb figure’s release is a pretty big deal. I won’t lie–this A-Bomb Masher isn’t the best-looking figure in the world, but I think it’ll still delight kids who watch Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. and have been wanting a fun A-Bomb action figure.
Thus far I’ve only seen Marvel Super Hero Mashers Series 6 figures for sale on the aftermarket, but I’d expect to see these figures arrive at more retail locations in the very near future. I’ll post an update once I spot them, as I’ll be hot on the trail of the Marvel Masher Agent Venom figure until I find him for my own collection.
Do any of the figures Hasbro has created for this year’s first batch of Marvel Super Hero Masher figures get you pumped up, Marvel collectors? Will the first fully-articulated 6″ scale A-Bomb figure be joining your collection this winter?
Can you make new goblin and black cat masher
I’d have to see it put together to make a final conclusion as is with most Mashers, but I don’t care for the Agent Venom much so far. The small odd head stands out the most! It looks like some sort of slightly shrunken alien head lol
If I can find a Hobgoblin with decent paint, I’d pick it up.
Picked up all three on ebay.
Would like to see more villains and some female heroes…
Me gusta que hagannpersonajes nuevos !!! En cualquier linea de figuras
