Hasbro may not have revealed quite as many never-before-seen Marvel Legends figures as some fans expected at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 last month, but they did show a rather diverse variety of characters. Sony shocked everyone earlier this week when, after numerous delays over the last year, they actually moved the released date for the Venom 2 movie forward to October 1st! San Diego Comic Con is generally the singular biggest event of the year for Sideshow Collectibles to unveil new statues at, and while SDCC 2021 isn’t *really* happening this year as a physical show, Sideshow has been holding their own Sideshow Con 2021 this week instead! Earlier today, Hasbro officially announced the return of Hasbro PulseCon for 2021! As Hasbro PulseCon is a virtual convention focused on bringing fans online exclusive figures and web-based panels, it seemed like a no-brainer that we’d be seeing an exclusive Marvel Legends figure (or figures) announced sooner than later. Hasbro displayed some pretty rad figures at New York Toy Fair 2020 last February (right before they world ground to a halt), and one of the surprise figures that most captured my eyes was the Venomized Miles Morales Marvel Legends Venom Venompool Series figure. I‘ve been a big Miles fan since the character’s creation, and after a deluge of Spider-Verse styled merch for that version of Miles Morales Spider-Man, I was excited to see a fresh symbiote version. Now that I have the final product in-hand, is Maximum Venom Venomized Miles Morales a winner?

When Hasbro announced another “Marvel Legends Fan First Friday Tuesday Edition”, my mind immediately raced to recall what figures we still hadn’t seen put up for pre-order at New York Toy Fair 2020 (which has sadly turned out to be the only major toy event of the year). Two figures remained—Venomized Miles Morales and Gwenom Spider-Gwen—so it’s no surprise those were part of the reveal: the 2020 Marvel Legends Venom Venompool Build-A-Figure Series of figures goes up for order today! With a mix of movie, GamerVerse, classic comic book and modern comics characters, this is definitely an eclectic wave…!
