Believe it or not, a new wave of MCU movie Marvel Legends figures launched for pre-order today that no one is talking about. Just under two years after Deadpool & Wolverine hit theaters, Hasbro is back with Deadpool & Wolverine Marvel Legends Wave 3… without any of the new characters collectors have been awaiting. But if you’ve been looking forward to Henry Cavillrine or concept Deadpool figures, they’re now up for order!

I have no doubt there’s a good reason we haven’t seen Gambit, Chris Evans Johnny Storm or Elektra yet in this Hasbro series, the selections we are getting don’t feel especially inspired. Let’s take a looksie…
First up, we have Marvel Legends The Cavillrine. No, really. This is based on the brief Henry Cavill cameo where he’s a Wolverine somewhere in the Multiverse. I suppose this is an easy way for Hasbro to reuse a lot of tooling and give fans a unique Logan variant.
I can see the joke appeal of this, but for 28 bucks, I’m not feeling it at all. There’s an alternate head and swap out fists at least, but this still feels like a weak inclusion. Though perhaps not as much as the other two figures, which are variants not in the movie at all.
Wolverinepool is a wacky mashup of the two titular characters, inspired by concept art for the movie. This kind of dumb stuff is pretty colorful and up my forte a bit more, but not enough for my dollars.
For accessories, Marvel Legends Wolverinepool only gets a pair of mismatched hands with the claws retracted. I think that’s a bit cheap, as Hasbro could have easily budgeted in two more hands for what’s otherwise a very light toy.
Finally, we’ve got the admittedly very cool MCU X-Force Deadpool figure, also based on concept art. I think it’s a true shame that this didn’t make it into any of the Deadpool movies, as it’s a snazzy colorway that Deadpool always looks slick in.
X-Force Deadpool actually gets a decent spread of accessories, with 2 pistols, 2 swords, a knife and 6 extra hands. There’s enough included here to achieve some fun poses, and this figure feels like it might actually be worth its MSRP to me. X-Force Deadpool sells well at retail, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see this be the “hot” seller of the wave.
Marvel Legends Wolverine & Deadpool Wave 3 is now up for order and is expected to arrive in early fall. All 3 figures share a $27.99 retail price.
This is a rare ML wave where I haven’t committed to pre-ordering any figures yet. What about you, Marvel collectors? Are you excited for any of these or anything else Hasbro could put out from Deadpool 3?
