I guess “exclusives” just aren’t what they used to be. Last month Diamond Select Toys announced that they were bringing back the formerly Disney Store exclusive Marvel Select Classic Thor 7″ action figure as a mass market regular release. Now, that trend is set to continue in 2014 as the Marvel Select Hawkeye Classic figure will make its way back to stores…

The Marvel Select Classic Thor 7″ figure announced last month seemed like a weird choice for Diamond Select Toys to reissue for the mass market, as the figure hasn’t been particularly demanded on the aftermarket as it is, despite being a sold-out exclusive.

Marvel Select Classic Hawkeye, ever, is a fantastic choice for DST to replenish in stores. The Disney Store exclusive release of the Marvel Select Hawkeye (Classic) action figure came out over two years ago in August 2011, and the figure has increased in price steadily on the aftermarket since, selling commonly for $40-$50.

With the Hasbro Marvel Legends Wave 5 Classic Hawkeye figure stuck in action figure limbo right now (if I held my breath waiting for Hasbro to get the Marvel Legends running changes released I’d be long dead), the time is perfect for the Classic Hawkeye Marvel Select figure to satiate collectors’ need for Hawkeye in his much-loved blue and purple costume as a 6″-7″ action figure.

If you missed the Disney Store exclusive Classic Hawkeye Marvel Select figure release in 2011 you’re in luck, because this figure will be a complete and utter re-release with no changes expected. Good ol’ Clint Barton will come in his same classic attire, with the same awesome wrecked Ultron base, and the same miniature figure of The Wasp riding on an arrow. This figure is an oldie, but definitely a goodie.

The Marvel Select Classic Hawkeye figure is now up for pre-order with a release date of March 2014. Suggested retail price for the Classic Hawkeye figure reissue is set at $24.99, but online stores are offering him a bit cheaper via pre-orders right now.
