NYCC 2015: Sideshow Marvel Statues! Final 12″ Deadpool!

For the first time ever, Sideshow Collectibles made the long journey across to the east coast with a marquee booth on the floor at New York Comic Con 2015! But while the NYCC Sideshow booth didn’t meet my lofty expectations, I did get to see some gems in person for the first time, including the Spider-Man Premium Format Figures and the final finished Deadpool sixth scale figure!

Of the multitude of Marvel collectibles that Sideshow brought with them to NYCC 2015, the one that I was most jazzed to see in-person was the long-awaited, final production figure of the Sideshow sixth scale Deadpool!

This 12″ Deadpool went up for pre-order almost exactly a year ago, so we loyal Deadpoolites have had to wait quite a while to see how the production version would turn out.

Well, now we know: the final Deadpool production version figure has arrived, and he looks outstanding!

I was actually rather worried about how the collar was going to ultimately look, but I think it blends better on the final figure than it did on the prototype!

The paint deco looks terrific on the sewer-like grated base that Deadpool comes on.

Sideshow placed a mirror behind Deadpool so you could see the back of the toy. I angled my camera to get the best photo possible of his back.

All of the various pouches and holsters on Deadpool came out excellently. I was a bit hesitant about the $200+ on this figure when it went up for order, but seeing it close-up, it’s going to be well worth the money.

The expressive Deadpool-faced grenade is just so adorable. In a destructive, murderous kind of way, of course.

Sideshow also brought along four of their most-anticipated upcoming Marvel Premium Format Figure statues, including red-and-blue Spider-Man, Black Costume Spider-Man, Brown Costume Wolverine and Sabertooth.

There’s not a ton for me to say about these statues that I haven’t said before when I discussed each one as it went up for pre-order, so just enjoy the photos for now.

I was particularly interested in the two Spidey statues, as I have a considerable amount of money locked up in pre-orders for the duo (as in, like, ~$1000). I had my trepidations about buying two of nearly the same statue, but seeing them in-person for the first time, I’m completely in love with them both all over again.

Brilliant work on these 1/4 Spider-Man statues, and I can’t wait to see them displayed in my house.
All of these Sideshow Collectibles Marvel statues (and Deadpool!) are still available for pre-order online, with scheduled shipping dates ranging from this winter to next fall.

Having seen updated photos of the 1/6 Deadpool figure and this quartet of Marvel Premium Format Statues, have your opinions of any of these pieces changed, collectors? Will any of these collectibles be adorning your home sometime during the next year?

NYCC 2015: Sideshow Marvel Statues! Final 12″ Deadpool! — 4 Comments

  1. Collar fits better now…though i still have issues with the head not being an actual mask or some sort of material! (Spideys turned out just fine) And i cant get used to the turtle neck Wades wearing under his suit…
I can’t describe it but this figure looks custom from the shoulders up.

  2. … wish I knew how to break the spell Sideshow has over me because I have this figure pre-ordered.

  3. Just got confirmation that Deadpool is shipping soon. Headpool not on display? I only preordered the classic suit Spidey. Not feeling the black suit on that statue for some reason. The base looks amazing. Wolverine and Sabretooth look nice too. Excited for those.
