I might have an obsession. See, once Marvel officially announced the SDCC 2013 Exclusive Funko Metallic Red Hulk POP! Vinyl figure, I became pretty fixated and seeing what they’d do to the most huggable of the Hulks. But the image Disney/Marvel sent out with the press release was just a photo of the plain Red Hulk. Thus, for the last week-plus I have been a man on a mission, with my quest being to find photographic evident of the actual Metallic Red Hulk SDCC Exclusive figure. And finally, today, my investigation turned up the first photo of the elusive POP! Vinyl Metallic Red Hulk!
I do think it’s worth noting, however, that the green sticker on the box means that Metallic Red Hulk will be one of the 2013 Funko POP! Vinyl Comic-Con Exclusives limited to just 480 pieces produced (the same as the awesome Metallic Deadpool bobble head). With less than 500 pieces to go around, Metallic Red Hulk is going to be one of the quickest sell outs at SDCC next week for Funko collectors. Get Metallic Rulk early if you want him, Funko fans!
In addition, we also got our first glimpse at the SDCC Exclusive Tony Stark Funko POP! Vinyl. We’ve seen this figure before in the Philippine Toy Con packaging, but this is the first time we’ve seen it with its official San Diego Comic Con 2013 sticker affixed. The blue sticker means that this is going to be one of the unnumbered exclusives produced for the show in massive quantities (way over 1,000), so don’t worry too much about Funko Tony Stark selling out fast.
Both the Funko POP! Vinyl Tony Stark and Metallic Red Hulk figures will be available exclusively at the Funko booth at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 next week. If you’re not attending the show, there are already pre-orders open for all the Marvel Funko SDCC Exclusives on ebay, with plenty more listings sure to go up after the show. The Funko exclusives (other than last year’s Gold Loki) typically don’t jump in price significantly, so if you can’t make the show, it probably won’t be too expensive to pick up a set of the exclusives on the aftermarket.
