Marvel Super Hero Mashers and I got off to a rocky start, as I legitimately thought that the line was a joke when I heard about it–and when I found out the figures were actually real, I thought they were even more ridiculous. But when I get the Marvel Mashers Deadpool figure last summer, Hasbro won me over with the stylized, well-articulated, reasonably-priced Marvel Super Hero Mashers figures. And the successful line will be expanding even further in 2015, with a whole assortment of Avengers Age of Ultron Mashers–including the first Marvel Mashers Vision and Ultron figures!

With a crazy number of Avengers: Age of Ultron movie toys having been announced and revealed last week, I was thinking that perhaps we had now seen all of the major toys that would be on-shelf leading up to the debut of the Age of Ultron movie hitting theaters. But somehow, I forgot one of my favorite guilty pleasure toy lines: Marvel Super Hero Mashers!

Up until now, all of the Marvel Mashers released have been folded into one big line (even the movie-looking Electro figure), but it looks like Avengers: Age of Ultron Mashers will be getting their own sub-line (along with designated shelf space to go with it!).

The first six Marvel Super Hero Mashers Avengers Age of Ultron figures revealed are:

• Avengers Age of Ultron Mashers Captain America
• Avengers Age of Ultron Mashers Iron Man
• Avengers Age of Ultron Mashers Thor
• Avengers Age of Ultron Mashers Hulk
• Avengers Age of Ultron Mashers Ultron
• Avengers Age of Ultron Mashers Vision

Four of the six figures revealed in the first (and perhaps only) Marvel Super Hero Mashers Avengers Age of Ultron series are pretty bland, as we’ve already had multiple Masher Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man figures released in 2014-2015. While the paint deco on these figures may end up being slightly different than what we’ve seen in the past, the figures themselves look like repacks with no new molding whatsoever.

However, the final two figures in the assortment are ones that I think everyone will be able to get behind: Marvel Masher Ultron and Vision figures! The Ultron Masher looks pretty neat, with a mold that I believe is 100% new tooling. I’m not altogether thrilled with the metallic blue areas on the figure–I always prefer a straight-up silver Ultron–but he looks pretty slick nonetheless.

The Marvel Masher Vision figure looks like a total winner. Regardless of how Vision looks in the actual Avengers Age of Ultron movie, this Mashers Vision action figure screams “classic” through-and-through. Vision doesn’t traditionally get a lot of merch, but this Hasbro Vision Mashers figure looks fantastic and is destined to be one of my favorite Mashers released thus far.

The Marvel Mashers Avengers Age of Ultron figures should be available for order soon, and are scheduled to be released in spring 2015. As with most of the non-Marvel Legends Avengers Age of Ultron toys, I’d expect stores to be absolutely flooded with these Age of Ultron Mashers come May 2015, so I wouldn’t worry too much about not finding any of the figures in stores.
