Given that Baby Groot is all the rage after his breakout popularity following the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, it’s not a shocker that some Marvel merchandiser would cash in on the Baby Groot phenomenon with a life-size Baby Groot statue. What is a bit surprising, however, is the company doing so. Dragon Models doesn’t get a whole lot of headlines, but they’ve earned this one today–the Dragon Models 7″ Baby Groot life-size model is up for order!

Dragon Models is a bit of an unknown in the Marvel collecting community, but I was impressed with their products that I saw at the New York Toy Fair 2014 and have been meaning to pick up my first Marvel Dragon Models Action Hero Vignette model this year. I wasn’t dead-set on exactly what that model was going to be, though, right up until this morning when I woke up and had an E-Mail from Dragon Models in my inbox.

There’s no person with a soul who wouldn’t smile at the thought of popping a Baby Groot statue on their desk and jamming to some Jackson 5 tunes, and Dragon Models has done a killer job with the details on their 7″ Baby Groot Action Hero Vignettes model.

The Dragon Baby Groot statue was developed in 3D, using official data from Marvel, so it’s authentically colored and textured to match the movie likeness of Baby Groot.

While this is technically a model kit, there’s minimal assembly required–you just plug Baby Groot into his diorama base and display. It’s so easy, even I can do it without making a mess!

The Dragon Models Baby Groot Life-Size model is now up for pre-order, and should be available in November 2014.
